Week 4 Laundry Room Makeover!

Thanks For Sharing!

It’s time a little check in on the laundry room! Things are starting to really come together and we are in the home stretch of it being completed. I’ve done a few check ins with you over the past few weeks for the New Year New Room Challenge and this one will be the biggest so far until the reveal! While I typically don’t do a lot of progress posts on projects, it is nice to show that how things don’t happen overnight, projects take time, there are set backs and some weeks are more productive than others! So let’s see what happened this week and the challenges we are facing.

Laundry Room Progress

We have officially taken down the old DIY Pipe Shelving system, painted the walls and are now putting the laundry room back together!

I can slowly start to see my vision together with the addition of a few decorative elements that have come already! You can see my original design board here. This rug from Mohawk Home is the perfect pop of a subtle navy and pattern and I love how it pulls the colors from the paintings.

I found these woodsy prints from Home Depot and loved the Pacific Northwest vibe of them. If you are new here, I love my PNW roots and you will see a lot of inspiration from the area I live in a lot of my designs.

Let’s talk cabinets! We installed the two outside cabinets and they are SO easy to do yourself. Honestly, took only a few minutes to get them up. I had originally planned to do a shorter cabinet in the center of them but when everything arrived the spacing is a little off and the space left in the center is too narrow for the pre-made cabinet I got. Soooooo I am trouble shooting this at the moment. Either need to find a smaller cabinet asap or put open shelving up there. TBD on this… but there will always be small hiccups on projects and I have just learned to roll with it!

I can’t wait to show the final reveal next Tuesday! It’s coming together!

Now take a look at my friends projects and see how theirs are going!
