Have you ever had one of those places in your home that you are just waiting for the right piece to come along? We have been wanting comfy accent chairs for our main family room ever since we moved in. Part me of me wanted to wait until we were ready to renovate the entire room, and after 3 years we decided it was time to just pull the trigger on a set. And I’m so glad we did! While our cozy neutral family room has served us well over the years, we ARE about to start phase 1 of the renovation this year. Good thing a lot of these pieces, and the new chairs, fit right into the new design.
Cozy Neutral Family Room

This is one of those rooms that keeps changing every day. It’s a space where I used many of the items from our old living room, bought the sofa from the previous owners of the house, shopped on Facebook Marketplace for inexpensive finds and are constantly swapping things in and out to make a cohesive space. Before I dive into the renovation later this year, I wanted to do a little snap shot of the space as it sits right now.
PS. this cozy cream and black loungewear set is classy yet comfortable! Great for around the house and running errands.

Our family room is an open concept space that flows right into our dining room and kitchen. We have these beautiful arches that subtly separate each space. Since all these spaces connect, it’s important that the design of both our dining room and family room flow effortlessly. They both are in the neutral tones with rich brown accents and touches of black to make it a little more modern. I want our home to have this casual elegance to it. Spaces that feel put together and elegant, but also cozy and casual at the same time.

These are the gorgeous new brown leather accent chairs we just added in here from Denver Modern (partner). They tie into the brown beams and add a contrast to the neutral sectional and wall color.

The detail on them is unmatched! The quality is incredible, the leather is soft and the gold accents add a touch of luxury to them. They pair great with our black and cream textured area rug. We had this in our previous family room and the size was perfect for this space too!

Here is a view you don’t see too often. We have beautiful arched openings that connect our entire house. From this view, you look directly into our formal living room which also needs a major overhaul! I think this is the year for a lot of changes in our main living spaces!

Another Facebook marketplace find were these sleek console tables! They were selling two, which worked perfectly to push them together to create one long console table for this larger wall. I actually found them on Amazon for the same price I bought them for (jokes on me).
