Neutral Modern Provencal Outdoor Space

I love our outdoor space in our courtyard. It was one of the very first spaces I did when we moved in because I just wanted to sit out here and listen to the fountain and soak up every ounce of this area. After 3 years, our beautiful white outdoor rug had seen it’s last days and it’s time for a little clean up out here before a big photoshoot I have coming up! After a failed new outdoor rug, I ended up bringing our outdoor rug from the backyard into the courtyard and I think it was meant for this space all along. I wanted to share some updated photos of our neutral modern provencal outdoor space.

Besides fun holiday decor, this is probably my favorite I’ve ever styled this space. It’s super simple, clean and a little more modern and sophisticated. I think it’s a good balance with the more traditional European architecture.

Doesn’t this neutral outdoor rug look so good in here? 3 years in and this one still looks perfect. I have always a bench in this spot between the sofas. I’ve had this set of concrete stump stools up until this point but in the back of my mind I wanted something different if I ever found the right piece. This RH bench was in our entry, it’s not outdoor friendly, but I’m going to keep it here for a bit until I can find something else. I feel like it adds more seating and gives it a more polished look.

Someone asked me the other day if we sit out here all the time. I wish I could say yet. I feel like I pop out here in the mornings between carpool duties while drinking coffee, we also do a few family fire nights in the fall with s’mores. I think it’s most often used when we have guests staying in the casita.

Neutral Outdoor Furniture

I absolutely love these copper lanterns. They work year round, have such a pretty tone to them and hold up extremely well. Our outdoor furniture is all from POLYWOOD, this is in the “vintage sahara” color which is my favorite that they make.

I snagged this large wooden bowl at HomeGoods this week and love how sleek and organic it looks in here. I found a similar one here for you!
