It is officially time to spend all of our time outside! Texas has been so nice these past few weeks, so our backyard has been in full swing! My husband has been barbecuing since we finished our outdoor kitchen not too long ago and has been trying to teach me — it’s safe to say that home decor is more my specialty! Usually, you’ll find me setting up our gorgeous outdoor table to match everything. I have been LOVING using our MacKenzie-Childs Dining Table Pieces to decorate our outdoor dining tablescape. It is genuinely me in a pattern! It has this timeless, elegant pattern that matches our outdoor space perfectly.
Classic and Elegant Dinnerware
The more I look at this dinnerware set, the more obsessed I become with the brand! MacKenzie-Childs created this ‘courtly check’ pattern that is both elegant and simple. Even though they are showcasing neutral colors, it makes such a statement. The black-and-white courtly check is a classic – it will never go out of style. Because the pattern’s colors are black and white, creating an outdoor tablescape with other items is effortless! The main plates have this wavy texture to add dimension with a gold accent along the rim. I decided to pair these with some gold cutlery to complement the gold trim. This helped create a harmonious touch to the table and immediately elevated the look!
Serving Platters
Now what is an outdoor dining experience without fresh appetizers? Specifically, everyone needs a serving bowl! My MacKenzie Childs bowl is perfect because it holds so much food and looks stunning with the rest of the dining pieces. Additionally, one of my more recent finds from MacKenzie Childs was the cutting board. I love how it matched with the other pieces. It still has a unique, neutral color that stands out, but doesn’t clash with the rest of the items. Also, it is so perfect for charcuterie boards! Sometimes, even if guests are here or I want a little snack, I’ll go and make a personal snack board and serve it on my cutting board. It feels so romanticized, especially if I use the charcuterie utensils and I love it!

Here’s a tip! Remember when selecting items, you want them to match your aesthetic so they last! I knew this MacKenzie-Childs collection was perfect because it fit the overall color scheme. However, if your color scheme is more colorful or contains brighter neutrals, they have many more products that fit multiple aesthetics. It’s an incredibly versatile brand so there’s something for everybody!
As friends and family gather around our table, I always think about how it’s not only about the aesthetics; it’s about creating an environment with lasting memories that make us feel at home and loved! When building up your home, investing in what will uphold those joyful moments as time goes on is important.
