Plaid Outdoor Christmas Porch Decor

When it comes to holiday decor, I love it but I also want to spend my time and energy RENOVATING. It’s definitely a tough balance this time of year! I always have a hard time decorating a room for Christmas until it’s exactly the way I want it. Which means, I tend to only decorate the rooms that are finished. One of the very first spaces that I completed in our home is our outdoor fireplace seating area. It’s the perfect place to decorate for the holidays and the first place I work on! It welcomes everyone into our home.

Every year I do something a little different out here, I try and work with what I have and change it up. This year, I went with a Plaid Outdoor Christmas Porch Decor.

There’s just something extra cozy about an outdoor fireplace at Christmas, right? The crackling fire, the chilly air, the glow from the lights—it all sets the perfect scene for a warm and welcoming holiday hangout. This is the time of year when we use this space the most!

Start with the fireplace since it naturally becomes the main focal point. A few large jingle bells, some small decorative trees, and a simple wreath instantly make the space feel festive without taking away from the beautiful stonework. Little touches like pinecones or greenery keep the look natural and relaxed.

Next, bring in all the comfy textures. Think chunky blankets, soft throw pillows, and rich holiday colors like deep green and classic plaid. I found this Green Plaid Blanket and Green Knit Blanket at Target! The mix of creamy neutrals with seasonal accents makes everything feel cozy but still clean and inviting. And don’t be afraid to mix textures—knits, velvet, woven baskets… it all works together and adds so much warmth.

Lighting is another big one. A slim, pre-lit Christmas tree tucked in the corner adds just the right amount of sparkle. I found these 6 ft pre-lit trees on Amazon and they are the perfect accent trees. At night, those twinkle lights bounce off the brick and stone and make the whole space feel magical.

Then come the fun details—Copper Lanterns tied with velvet bows, Large Jingle Bells , a basket filled with blankets, and a cute “merry” pillow. These little pieces bring personality to the space and make it feel ready for holiday gatherings (or just snuggling up by the fire with hot cocoa).

With just a few thoughtful touches, your outdoor fireplace can turn into the coziest Christmas spot. It’s amazing how a mix of textures, warm lighting, and a few festive accents can completely transform the space.

It’s often the final finishing touches that truly transform the vibe of a room. I picked up some final styling pieces from @wayfair , I am obsessed with both side tables. They are both statement pieces. And the personal photos, candle, heart trays and leather pillows are why bring the warmth and personal touches into this space.

I finally found the perfect family and pet-friendl I finally found the perfect family and pet-friendly sofa that passes the designer test! This is the 5-Seat Modular Corner Sectional from @7thavenueco in the color Oatmeal Beige. We ordered it in the extra-deep seat option for ultimate coziness. The material is water-repellent, stain-resistant and you can also throw all covers in the wash!

We cannot say enough great things about this sofa, we all love it and just sink into it. It definitely passes the family test. Plus, it truly is gorgeous. It looks very chic.

Comment SOFA and I’ll send you the link to this exact one!
