Hi friends! I’ve shared lots of different areas of our home decorated for Christmas this year and it’s time for one big tour to show you ALL our Neutral Christmas Decor in one big home tour! I always love doing this every year because it’s fun to look back on previous years and see how styles change and evolve. You can check out my 2019 Christmas tour, a lot has changed!
I’m also joining several other bloggers this week as we all share our Seasonal Home Tours! If you are from Grace in My Space , welcome! Thanks for stopping by!
Neutral Christmas Decor Tour
Simple Christmas Porch
I like a more simple Christmas porch. I’ve tried larger, more festive filled porch decor in the past and I just think minimalistic is what looks best out here! This year I made my own DIY Copper Wind Chime door decor. I really love how the copper pops against the new black door!
Holiday Entry Way
I’ve done quite a bit more DIY projects this year than I have in the past and it’s been so much fun! I never shared these DIY Hobnail vases on the blog, but you can see the video I posted on IG! Such an easy DIY that anyone can do! I made one in white too, so head there to take a peek!
Scandinavian Style Christmas Decor
Now let’s head into a space I just finished putting together for the holidays! It looks SO different than last year, it’s crazy! I have always loved more Scandinavian Style Christmas Decor. The minimalistic decor, organic greenery and lots of wood tones. With the new fireplace makeover, I feel like I can finally get the look I have wanted in here. So clean and organic feeling. I can’t wait to play around with it even more as we finish the makeover in here over the next few months.
Oh do you recognize the dough bowl?! And my recent post on how to style dough bowls? I still love it’s more permanent location I found in the new bonus room reveal, but I thought it would be fun to use it for some holiday decor right now. It’s perfect for some presents and pillows!
There years when I’d try and pile tons of decor on a coffee table and it was always about styling more, I have definitely gotten to the less is more phase over the past few years. And when it comes to Christmas, there is so much more to this season than decor. Don’t get me wrong, I love it and love how festive it makes the house, but I am also all about the simplicity of the season.
You’ve seen quite a few trees around my house, I have several faux ones that I love and bring out every year. But we always have ONE real tree in our home, and it’s always the living room! We normally get our tree the day after Thanksgiving, but we have had so much going on that we just now got it up in our main room. Probably the latest I’ve ever had the tree decorated since we’ve been married, but hey it’s 2020 ;)
Decorating With A Vintage Dough Bowl
Simple Christmas Decor
The kitchen, the heart of the home and the place where we spend so much of our time these days! I have a few little touches I like to do in here, just enough to make it feel a little Christmasy.
I alway restyle my favorite shelves for each season! You can get the free Christmas printables right here.
One thing I’ve always wanted to do is add greenery on a big chandelier! I used my new fav faux cedar garland and draped it around it. Super easy!
You can find a tutorial to those simple wreaths on the blog. This is one of those Christmas projects I bring out year after year! Maybe I should switch things up by now, but I still think they are sweet!
And I have to talk about this centerpiece! My parents sent it to us and it was made by one of my fav local florists. Head to Sprig Flower Co if you are local for a gorgeous arrangement!
Christmas Trees Upstairs!
I couldn’t help but put a few Christmas trees upstairs too! There is something magical about falling asleep to the Christmas tree twinkling. I don’t do a lot of other decor up here, just a few small hints of the holidays. I really just like having a tree in our bedroom. Sometimes I would like to keep it here year round!
Ok ok, I can’t get enough of the new bonus room reveal! Seriously I’m obsessed with it! You can take a tour of it if you haven’t already, but I HAD to put a tree in here as soon as I could! Now that we are doing all our homeschooling in here, we are in this room most of our day.
Outdoor Living Space Decor
Lastly! Our outdoor living space is one of my fav spaces to decorate for Christmas! I always save my brighter, cabin Christmas decor for out here!
Thanks for taking a tour of our Neutral Christmas Decor! It’s fun to see how it all came together this year with all the different renovations we did throughout the year.
Now please head to Just a Girl and Her Blog and see her tour!

Do you use Balsam Hill Christmas storage units? Can you tell me a little about what you store in the large rectangle one, I already own a few of the ornament holders and am interested in buying the large one, I have so much holiday decor just wonder if it’s worth it, we currently use large plastic tubs I just find them a hassle to store .
Appointment any input or advanced you have.
Thank you
Taryn Whiteaker says
Hi! I do use them! In the largest one, I store my faux trees and greenery, in the large rectangle ones I keep all my Christmas accessories like decorative trees, reindeer, pillows, stockings, etc.
