You guys, I can’t believe how close we are to Christmas and I’m STILL making new decor! I feel so behind this year, I normally would have shown my full house tour already (coming soon), but I’m still chipping away at it. At this rate, I’ll probably keep everything up through January just so I can enjoy it ha. Anyway, I love dressing up the cabinets in our kitchen, hanging wreaths on our open shelving is one of my favorite ways to add a classic and festive touch.
The other day, I whipped up these Modern Holiday Embroidery Hoop Wreath. They took 5 minutes each to make! You can totally do this. Anyone can do this! I’m going to give you a quick tutorial, but you probably won’t even need one :)
A few years ago, I did DIY boxwood wreaths on this space, and I’ve done a few fall ones too. I was hoping to find premed ones to hang here, but I just couldn’t find what I wanted because I needed such a specific size. But these literally only took me 10 minutes, so I was ok with it :)
SUPPLIES
- 10″ EMBROIDERY HOOPS
- 1/2″ BLACK SATIN RIBBON
- GREENERY ( I use this gorgeous dried greenery)
- HOT GLUE GUN
Start by hot gluing the greenery onto the wreath. I glued all the way up the leaves to help hold the shape. Take your black ribbon and tie a pretty bow. I place a dot of hot glue in the center of the bow, and then at each loop to help hold it in place.
To finish it off, I used this adorable black and white ribbon to hang it on my cabinets.
Here is how our ktichen looks all nice and bright in the evenings!
If you are already done decorating for the holidays, just pin for next year!
