The kids are back in school and it’s time to kick off a brand new renovation! I had a whole list of rooms to renovation in 2024 and a bathroom wasn’t on it, but here we are! Sometimes the best projects are the spontaneous ones! We have 5 bathrooms to renovate in our home, I figured they would be the last rooms in the house to get a refresh but I’m excited to dive in with our first one! Of course I already refreshed our downstairs powder room, but now we are heading into big makeover. I’m sharing the design plans for a Soft Neutral Bathroom Design for my teenage daughter.
Soft Neutral Bathroom Design
I finished up my daughter’s vintage boho bedroom makeover at the end of last year and this is her joining bathroom. You can enter it from both the hallway and her bedroom but it’s mainly just hers. All but one bathroom in our home still has the original dark cabinetry and darker tile. My goal for this refresh is to make her bathroom feel more like her bedroom filled with soft neutrals, lots of gold and cream.
This is one of the smallest bathrooms in the house so I expect it to be a pretty quick makeover! I say that now…. But the main goal is to remove all the tile, open up the bathroom by removing the cabinet above the toilet, and replacing the vanity. And of course I’ll be skim coating the walls to make this nice and smooth.
Here are the current design plans for her bathroom! Lots of soft neutrals paired with different patterns and texture to make it interesting and filled with character. I’m still trying to decide how to bring in an accent color to this space, whether it’s a dark sage green or rich dark neutral. You can always follow along on Instagram where I share progress in real time!
