This holiday season has felt different. In a lot of ways. Last year, we’d only been in our house for a few months before the holidays, we hardly had any furniture and still felt like we were moving in and getting settled! This year, I had spaces to decorate and adorn with holiday decor and it just felt. Better.
I had in my mind that I would continue to do DIY projects and room renovations right up until Christmas, but I found myself slipping into more of the Christmas spirit this year and ended up slowly setting all of those projects aside. I had fun. I allowed myself to decorate and enjoy the process and dress up our house for the holidays for our family to enjoy. I have shared bits and pieces throughout the the last few months, but here is our complete Christmas Home Tour of 2023.
Our Christmas Home Tour 2023
Christmas Entry
Walking up to our house I added wreaths to our gates and set up a cute little bench area as you enter. I really want to add garland over all the arches… maybe next year!
You can read more about this entry bench set up here. It was a budget friendly display and I chat all about it in the post!
Christmas In The Courtyard
Here is a view of the courtyard I don’t share too often! It shows how the spaces are all connected.
Outdoor Fireplace Christmas Decor
Moving over to the outdoor fireplace area. I had JUST finished this space this time last year. I loved adding a few festive touches out here this year, I might even leave the lights on the cedar trees year round! I love how they add an extra glow out here.
We’ve enjoyed a few fun family evenings out here, making s’mores and enjoying the mild temps. I’ve even sat out here a few evenings working just enjoying the scenery.

Simple Christmas Front Porch
It’s a little odd because I often forget we have a front door. We use the door off the courytard fireplace that goes into our kitchen 99% of the time, so do all our guests. But off in the corner of the courtyard is our actual front door that occasionally gets a package here and there :)
Neutral Christmas Living Room
As you enter the front door, you walk straight into our formal living room. This is where we have decided to place our Christmas tree and celebrate Christmas morning. I went with a very rich neutral look in here with a bit of a vintage glam look. You can see a full tour of the space here.
I wanted to embrace the colors and tones that were already in the space with the ceiling and the chandeliers. I really hope to bring this whole space together with a new look in the new year!
I’ve been getting into more olive green tones lately and love how it brings a deep neutral tone to a space for more contrast. Also, still loving our white modular sofas and chairs!
Cozy Casual Christmas Family Room
Our family room has been a slow process over the last 18 months, a lot of marketplace finds and moving pieces around! It’s cozy and I hope to make even more progress in here this year.
I added just a few simple pillows in here! These dark green velvet for some contrast, the neutral textured Christmas pillows and my favorite faux fur reindeer pillows.
Christmas Dining Room
Last year we didn’t even have a dining room to decorate! It was a completely open empty space, so this year has been extra special to dine at an actual table. And decorate it! You can see how I built the DIY floating buffet here, and tour the whole neutral transitional dining room here.
I love a good moody holiday tablescape. In fact, I think my favorite one is this moody Thanksgiving table I did a few years ago. I channeled this table to create a black and white Christmas tablescape. A little traditional, a little rustic and a little modern.
Wishing You A Merry Christmas
Thanks for joining me this holiday season! It was a jammed packed season, with lots of fun holiday decorating and product finds. I can’t wait to get back to some more DIY’s!
