I promised myself I wouldn’t buy a lot of new Christmas decor this year because I want to focus on decorating our HOUSE first! I donated a lot of our Christmas decor in the move, so when I took down the little we brought with I wasn’t sure how many spaces I would even be able to decorate for the holidays. BUT it’s amazing how one thing leads to another and with a little mixing and matching I have our front porch all decorated for the holidays. I pretty much only had to buy a new door mat! I’m sharing a quick post today on our Christmas porch decor.
Christmas Porch Decor
We have a fairly small porch at this house. It sits right off our courtyard, kind of tucked in the corner. Just big enough to squeeze a few trees and a door mat with a few festive touches. Proof that you don’t need some extravagant Christmas scene, just a few items are enough.
The trees, baskets and lanterns were all on our last year’s Christmas porch. I have had these large oversized jingle bells for years but honestly have hardly ever used them! I think I got them from JOANN Stores or Michaels awhile back, I don’t see them only anymore but here are some very similar bells on Etsy.

I did pick up this new artificial wreath this year and it is SO realistic! I got the garland for our mantel and the matching wreath. I am SO impressed with how real the sprigs looks and how soft it is. I can’t wait to buy more next year.
I am so glad I kept these bells, I almost donated them because I hadn’t used them yet. I think they were in a box of holiday decor that I just didn’t open often. But they work so perfectly out here.
Classic Red and Green Christmas Porch
I could see me changing out the trees to some tall and narrow ones next year, more like pencil trees. Or maybe adding garland around the door. But for this year, trying to keep extra expenses down, I think it turned out pretty magical.
