First of all, thank you so much for the amazing feedback on our bathroom remodel we shared this week! We love it and I am so happy to hear you do too! I’ve gotten tons of questions about all the fixtures and paint colors in the space, so I put together a separate post with all those details. So here is the Rustic Modern Bathroom Design Sources.

- White Kohler Under Mount Sinks
- Black Lavatory Faucets
- Black Square Cabinet Pulls
- Black Industrial Towel Rings
- Black Pivot Mirrors – I had my heart set on black pivot mirrors and I was surprised how few there are on the market! I found some awesome ones on Pottery Barn, Restoration Hardware and Rejuvenation, but I found the best deal on these ones from Amazon. They weren’t as hard to install as the reviews say, I just made a template and it worked just fine. Drilling through the tile took much longer than expected but the actual installation was easy! And I love how they look, I don’t feel like I settled at all.
- Hexagon Tile – You can read all about our tile choice in the original post!
- Vintage Toilet Sign
- Vintage Number Hooks
- Faux Marble Tray
- Glass Apothecary Jars
- Birch Rounds For Soap
- Wall Color Reserved White – this is the same color we did in our downstairs living room update this year and plan on doing it on the whole house! It’s white with the slightest tint of gray so our white molding still pops.
- Cabinet Color Charcoal Blue – This is my favorite blue paint! It’s a great in-between of a dark blue and charcoal gray. The name is perfect and I will definitely use it again!
If you have any questions feel free to ask! Can’t wait to start the next big project :)

Love the makeover – that tile really makes the room! I don’t see where you listed the towel holders. Do you have a source for those?
Thanks!

I would love to know the name of the counter tops
Taryn Whiteaker says
The countertop is called Stormy Sky by Pental Surfaces and it’s polished. I wanted a honed surface in here originally but I found a remnant piece at a local store that cut the cost down
Andrea says
Can you show a picture of your lighting above the mirrors? Thank you!
Rebecca says
Can you leave me a pic of the lighting (ceiling or vanity) you used in the bathroom ? Love your design ! Thanks Rebecca
Taryn Whiteaker says
Hi! We just have basic recessed lighting this that bathroom, no fixtures.
Rachelle Lopez says
Hi did you get a new counter top or did you reuse the existing one you have?
Taryn Whiteaker says
Hi there! We had new countertops installed. We went with quartz called Stormy Skies.
Darlene says
Hi. I love the hexagon tiles. What is the size of tile you used?
Jenn says
How difficult was it to drill through the tile to hang the mirror?? Ugh. That seems so scary
Taryn Whiteaker says
It’s my least favorite thing to do! This took a while, just have to be patient! But it’s doable.
Noah says
What flooring did you use here?
Taryn Whiteaker says
Hi! The flooring was already here when we moved in, so I don’t have details. But it is a faux wood looking laminate.
Noah says
One more thing what size are the pills you used? They look very nice in that size

Did you happen to redo the shower to match this bathroom? This is my inspiration picture for our current master bath, but I’m struggling on what to do with our shower to match. I picked a frameless shower door with black trim and black fixtures for shower, but that’s about as far as I have gotten. I have zero creativity.
Taryn Whiteaker says
Hi! I didn’t, I kept the original tub in there, it’s basic but still ‘new’. Maybe i’ll get to a larger renovation one day :)
Carrie says
What type of paint did you use for the cabinets?
Eva says
Where did you get cabinets from? I love the layout.
Taryn Whiteaker says
Hi! The cabinets were the originals and we just had them painted.
Kristen says
Hello! I love your bathroom makeover! It’s amazing! I’m looking at doing my kids bathroom which is very similar “before”. Can you tell me the name of your tile? The link isn’t working for me. Thank you!
Taryn Whiteaker says
Hi! It’s from a UK company and I don’t think they carry it any more :(
Ethan Dorris says
What type of paint did you do with the Charcoal Blue…matte, satin, gloss?
Taryn Whiteaker says
Hi – the vanity is in satin sheen
