Are we ready for the first official room kick-off of the year!? I’ve been hinting at this room for over a year, I had a lot of hope I would get to it last year but here we are. I am finally feeling confident in the design (it’s only taken quite a few versions) and we are ready to rock and roll!
Designing kid’s rooms have always been one of my favorite spaces to do and this one is going to be BOLD and FUN! He had some tough requests that took some time working through but I think it’s now the perfect mix of what he wants and staying true to my design style.
Boys Football Bedroom Design Plans
Large Nike Shoe Art | Industrial Ceiling Fan Light | Football Neon Sign | Nike Shoe Neon Sign | Football Artwork | Antique Gold Industrial Scones | Black Modern Nightstands | Cream Storage Bed | NFL Sheets | Tan Reversible Bedding | Faux Fur Lumbar Pillow | Football Field Pillow | Cognac Upholstered Bench | Linen Comfy Chair | Neutral Area Rug | Cowhide Rug
My son’s most important request was to have a purple bedroom. What?! Deep breaths. I knew this was going to take some creativity to do it right. He didn’t want just any purple, but Minnesota Vikings purple and TCU Purple, most definitely NOT Washington Husky Purple (IYKYK), that’s not allowed in our house. That purple is VERY different ;)
I ended up finding this boys bedroom from Addison’s Wonderland and it was the first purple boys bedroom I found where I was able to gather inspiration from it and make it our own. She did a fantastic job on it!
My son’s bedroom will have a similar teen, modern, look and feel to it but with a little bit more of a football influence.
Boys Gaming Desk and LEGO Display

Upholstered Desk Chair | LEGO Light Up Display Shelves | Gaming Wall Shelf Unit | Black Writing Desk
My son is super into LEGOs and requested a place to display all his builds. I decided to create this full desk/gaming center on one of his walls where he can display his LEGO’s and organize his Oculus and gaming things.
Before Bedroom

This is the bedroom we are starting with! It’s a total blanket slate. I’m still trying to decide what I want to do on that far wall. It has a small door that goes into a hidden playroom. That will definitely be phase 2 to his space. I have a lot of ideas, but haven’t made any final decisions on it yet!
