Bedroom Progress: New LuxeCraft Serenity™ flooring by Karastan

I’ve been sharing our bedroom renovation progress on Instagram, but it’s time for a BIG project check-in. This week we had our brand new flooring installed. It’s stunning, it’s gorgeous and it’s worth a full review on the blog! After looking at a few different flooring options, I decided to go with the LuxeCraft Serenity™ flooring by Karastan. We’ve been in our home for over 4 years now, and it is about time we gave our primary bedroom a little love! I prioritized all the kids’ bedrooms first, now it’s time to give us the luxury retreat we have dreamt about for years!

Before Bedroom

This is what we started with! A bedroom with great bones but in need of a little personalization that better fits our style. This comes down to personal preference but I am not a fan of carpet in bedrooms. I prefer the look of hardwoods. I think it’s elevated and easier to clean!

Flooring Details

I picked out the Windham Shores line in color Wren. The warm wood tones of the flooring create the rich and luxurious vibe I envisioned here. It’s warm, cozy and elevated.

We worked with our local flooring retailer, Peek’s Floor Co, to order and install the flooring. The entire install only took ONE day! They were able to remove the existing carpet, prep the subfloor, install the vinyl planks and add additional trim, in about 8 hours.

The Comfort Core is a specialized multi-layered construction designed to provide a softer, more forgiving underfoot feel and exceptional sound absorption compared to other luxury vinyl.

Pet Friendly Flooring Option

This flooring is a perfect choice for pets, it’s 100% waterproof, durable, and stain resistant. It’s clear, our pups approve! We have two English-Cream Golden Retrievers and they spend a lot of time in our bedroom! It’s their favorite place to play and they both sleep in here at night. Having a flooring that can withstand scratches, accidents and lots of vacuuming is a must!

Bedroom Progress!

We could not be happier with this choice! It’s absolutely stunning and brings all the rich warm neutrals together in this space. The new flooring completely transformed this space and took it to a whole new level.

I have lots more changing happening in here! The new flooring was a big one, but there is still lots more coming until this bedroom renovation is complete!
