I finally have a little update on Little Man’s new room. I may not have an entire room reveal ready, but I have half of one! I find that I am always waiting until a room is absolutely perfect until I show any of it on the blog, but one of my goals with the new house is to show you more ‘in progress’ updates. So here I am with a half finished Rustic Boy Bedroom.
I really love how this modern woodsy room is turning out for my little guy. We didn’t find out the gender with either of our kids so each had a neutral nursery. After we moved I finally had the chance to design my very first boy room. Oh my goodness I am having so much fun!
This room has been fairly easy to put together since almost everything came from our old house. I pulled a lot of items from several of our old rooms and it took shape pretty quickly.
My latest project for this room are these DIY Chevron Curtains. I cannot tell you how long I searched for the perfect curtains for this room. After several failed attempts at purchasing some and painting one pair (an epic fail), I finally stumbled upon this brown and white chevron fabric at Hobby Lobby. I’ll admit, I’m a little over the chevron craze but these were perfect for this room. They are made out of duck cloth which does run a little pricey, but with my 40% off coupon I was able to make both panels for about $45.
This little seating area is one of my favorites. I still love our original white rocker that we had for our first nursery. People thought I was crazy for putting a white rocker in a kid’s room, but it has actually held up really well. We’ve had it professionally cleaned a few times over the last 4 years and it holds up great.
I snagged this adorable galvanized organizer at TJ Maxx a while back and I still love it.
I purchased this crate at Hobby Lobby and it’s definitely had its share of different uses over the years. Today, it serves as a book holder.
I couldn’t pass up this pillow and basket from HomeGoods, they were just what this corner needed!
I love how this room is coming together! I must note that the old trunk was my grandparent’s and it is so special to me. I’m so glad I have it.
After months and months of debating what to do with the rest of the room, I think I finally have a plan! Stay tuned.
