Well hey, Happy New Year! I thought it would be fun to do something a little different this year and share the Most Purchased Items of 2020! Yes, you all love the DIY projects and all that, but you also love some good tools and home decor items too. Ok and maybe some cute clothes from time to time too. So if you looking for some good finds to kick off the new year, here are the most purchased items that I shared this year!
Most Purchased Items of 2020
10. Cast Iron Vintage Coat Hook
I often use unconventional items to accessorize my spaces. I found these Cast Iron Vintage Coat Hooks and thought they would be such fun towel hooks in my kid’s Industrial Modern bathroom. They are just a fun touch that gives a little more character to the space!
9. Black and White Beach Prints
I love the ability to download art straight from your computer! These Black and White Beach Prints are such a fun look for a modern coastal room design. I used them in this Modern Coastal Mood Board, I wish we had a cabin to decorate!
8. Marble Melamine Plates
These Marble Melamine Plates are so great for cute kids plates that still match your decor or for outdoor dining! They are cute and chic and also still practical. I used one singular plate as a tray for my kid’s bathroom accessories.
7. Easy Hang Level Art Tool
We all love easy, and tools that make jobs even easier! This Level Art Tool was a hit, it allows you to put nails into your walls perfectly level and without using a hammer! Perfect if you want to hang some pictures but are afraid of putting nails in. I used this to install our Hallway Gallery Wall and was genuinely so impressed!
6. Faux Grasscloth Wallpaper
If you love a good, inexpensive fix for your walls or even the back of some built-ins, this faux grasscloth wallpaper is a great find! I ended up using this in our movie room makeover and you all loved it too! I will warn you though, this is a thinner paper, I recommend it for a quick fix, not a bathroom where there is a lot of moisture.
5. Coastal Artwork From Etsy
We all love easy artwork, and you guys loved this Coastal Artwork from Etsy! This one was a bit of a surprise because it wasn’t even a room I created, it was simply a design board I put together for a modern kid’s beach bunk room!
4. Neutral Tassel Outdoor Rug
I started putting 5X7 rugs on our front porch a few years ago and I am sticking with the look! This year I added this neutral tassel outdoor rug from Target and it was a hit with all of you! Putting a rug on your front porch and layering it can really turn it into a complete space, not just a porch. You can see how it looked on this year’s Neutral Spring Porch.
3. Black Pivot Bathroom Mirror
I’m always on the hunt for good mirrors that don’t break the bank! I searched forever to find black pivot mirrors for the kid’s bathroom makeover . I wanted a very RH look in there but didn’t want to pay the price, and the mirrors I found for there were perfect and about half the cost (if not more).
2. Black and White Stripe Outdoor Rug
You guys seem to be about rugs this year! This black and white strip outdoor rug has been a favorite of yours for years! It’s perfect for outdoor living spaces, I used it on our modern spring porch a few years back.
1. Wireless Hall Sconces
Alright, this was my last project I posted in 2020 and somehow it soared to one of the most popular posts of the year within a week! You all love the Hallway Makeover but most importantly you love these Wireless Battery Operated Sconces. The perfect additions to your gallery wall or feature picture and you don’t have to have it hardwired!
I’m always a little surprised by what you all love and end up purchasing! Hope you found a few new hidden gems today! Also if you haven’t yet, here is a look back at all the Big Projects Completed in 2020! I’ll be sharing all our plans for this year soon!
