Modern Fall Porch

It’s fall! One of my very very favorite projects of the year is decorating our porch for fall. No matter how many I do, they never get old. It’s always one of the highlights of the season for me. I’ve done many variations over the years and played around with many different colors but there is just something about the classic red mums that I am always draw to. I put together a Modern Fall Porch with allll the white pumpkins and natural red tones.

I always love the phrase “If it’s not broken, don’t fix it”. That’s sorta how I feel about my fall porch displays. I’ve done the same general set up for several years now, the tall planters, fall plants, tons of white pumpkins and lanterns. But at the same time, I still love it and it fits the size of the space. It amazing how many different looks you can get by simply switching out the color of the planters, types of grasses and color of the flowers. Natural Fall Wreath

Ok let’s talk about this wreath. You may notice I JUST shared a DIY Fall Wreath on the blog this week, but you guys, I honestly just wasn’t that into it and it didn’t look right with the rest of the porch. So I made a new one…that I LOVE. SO much bette.r

This wrath also took me just 5-10 minutes to make. I picked up this red pinecone wreath at Target last year and decided to give it a little facelift to make it my own. I simply tucked cotton stems, pheasant feathers and dried grasses along the left side in varying patterns to give it a lot of texture and more natural look.

Layered Front Porch Rugs

I’m all about the layered rug look on porches! I kept the exact same large outdoor rug I used on my spring porch and the same black welcome mat, that’s only $13!

If there is one tip I can give you when decorating for fall, just add more white pumpkins. Like a lot. Like you can never have too many. They make everything better!
