It’s amazing to think how many different ways one can decorate the same mantel for the holidays! I looked back over the past 4 Christmas Mantels I’ve done in our home, to see the styles change over the years. The use of SO much stuff and then the more minimalistic ones. The more traditional ones and the black and white ones. This year I went with a simple Christmas mantel, one that includes lots of lush garland draped over it with pops of black, white and rose gold. I like the simple glam look happening over there this year, so let’s take a closer look.
I’ll also be joining many other bloggers today as we all share our Christmas mantel decor, so be sure to scroll down.
Simple Christmas Mantel
I wanted the overall feeling of the mantel this year to be simple yet elegant. I created a big focal point with the lush garland mixed with black and white and rose gold ornaments and then the rose gold Christmas trees. And I think it’s my favorite one yet!
Black and White Christmas Mantel
Below are a few of the items I used on our mantel this year! Almost everything I already had on my Christmas stash, but I added these rose gold brush trees and gorgeous rose gold glass ornaments ( more on these soon!).
Garland Over Mantel
The other day, I watched Annie over at Zevy Joy give tips on decorating her mantel and she shared how she twists two strands of garland together to create a fuller look and I thought it was brilliant! I decided to try it out using some garland I had and it made such a difference!
Ornaments Tucked Into Garland
To give the garland a little more pop, I added little clumps of ornaments and ribbon. One piece of black velvet ribbon, and then a black, white and metallic ornament.
Decorating A Stone Fireplace
It’s not always the easiest to decorate a stone fireplace with darker features, a lot of decor gets lost on here, so I always have to keep it bright and and use lighter decor. I have been playing around with some ideas on how to update this whole fireplace in 2020!
