I used to wait until after Thanksgiving to decorate for Christmas. It used to be a rule around here. But slowly, year after year I begin to decorate a little earlier and earlier. It takes me so long to decorate for the holidays that it just doesn’t seem right to have it up for only 3-4 weeks out of the year. I love the process so much that I don’t like to feel rushed. I want to enjoy every stocking hung and garland draped. In fact, I’m not 100% done yet so there are a few spaces I’ll show later this week.
Today, I’m joining several other design bloggers as we share our homes decorated for the holidays. If you are coming over from Modern Glam Home, welcome! Let’s take a look at a few spaces!
Classic Neutral Christmas Decor
Exterior Christmas Decor
I shared our Christmas Porch last week, but I just can’t get over how much I love the new dark exterior we did in the spring. It has made such a HUGE difference and I just love decorating our porch now.
Christmas Entry Way
I’ve made a few changes to our entry way lately! I changed up our artwork a few months ago and recently removed the rug for a cleaner look. I’m still debating if I like this space with or without a rug…
Christmas Decor In the Kitchen
New Living Room Decor!
I think the most exciting part of the tour this season is that we JUST got new furniture for our family room! This space finally feels put together and I am SO excited to keep making a few tweaks to pull it all together.
I absolutely love the vibe in here, it flows so well with the rest of our downstairs.
Classic Christmas Mantel
Christmas Tree In The Bedroom
Walking you upstairs for a few little touches to our bedroom and bonus room. I started putting a Christmas tree in our bedroom a few years ago and now I can’t go back. I love the magical ambiance it gives our bedroom when I craw into bed at night. The glow of the Christmas tree as I was Hallmark movies in bed. It’s something I look forward to every year.
Every year I say I’m going to having garland from around the canopy bed, but I never get to it. Maybe next year :)
Cozy Holiday Movie Room
Our bonus room is where we spend a lot of time in the winter. It gets dark so early around here so we often spend time as a family, or my husband and I watch tv or work up here while the kids stay downstairs. It’s been so nice having this room finished up!
I recently put together a post featuring new holiday decor I picked up this year along with some of my favorites I bring out every year! You can visit my Neutral Christmas Decor post for all the sources.
