Each year, I have a tradition of making one new set of handmade ornaments for our Christmas tree. I love bringing them out each year knowing they were made with love for our family to enjoy. This year I had an idea of making DIY Concrete Christmas Ornaments. I haven’t seen these done before and I have never tried, so this was a total experiment! And…. I think they turned out pretty well!
Best part, you literally only need TWO things to make these, plus a little water!
DIY Concrete Christmas Ornaments
I love the texture of these ornaments. They are industrial yet chic and you’d never know they are completely hollow inside.
How To Make Concrete Ornaments
Supplies:
- Henry Feather Finish Concrete
- Plastic Ball Ornaments
- Ribbon for embellishment ( I love this deer print ribbon!)
This process is SO simple. You mix the concrete powder with water. And stir until you get the consistency of peanut butter.
I simply used a spoon to gloop it on and swirl it around. Make sure to cover the entire plastic. Don’t worry about it perfect smooth, the roughness gives it character and texture.
I created this little drying rack while the concrete dried. You will need to let them dry overnight. The color will change and dry a lot lighter.
To top them off, I dipped a few of them in white paint to add a more modern element. You could also paint your own designs.

Can’t wait to put them on the tree!
