Neutral Valentine's Day Decor and mantel with farmhouse touches
NEUTRAL MANTEL DECOR for valentines day

The thing about decorating for the holidays that is always a little challenging, is that I hardly ever use color in my home. And I want my holiday decor to blend in with my home. SO here is my take on a subtle neutral Valentine’s Day Mantel. I truly believe you can still decorate for the holidays without it being red, pink, purple and full of hearts and cupids.
When I think of Valentine’s Day and being romantic, I think of cozy and soft decor, candles, a fire and lots of hugs and and kisses XOXO. SO that is exactly how I decorated my mantel.

Farmhouse Inspired Mantel Decor

XOXO Canvas Banner
Neutral Valentine's Mantel

I made this simple XOXO bunting using pre-made canvas bunting I picked up at the craft store and then used heat transfer paper to put on the letters (one of my favorite techniques).

I decorate! My Home is already decorated. I have my Happy Valentine’s banner across my fireplace, and I have my heart wreaths up above the fireplace on the wall and I have my other decorations above the fireplace, my singing bears, and my glitter hearts around on the walls.

Covered two large X’s and one large O with scrapbook paper to put on my fireplace mantel. Have hearts in a glass container and trying to decide what to put under my cloche. Really enjoy decorating for all holidays even though the kids are away at college.

I always throw some hearts up somewhere, a banner, some wall clings, nothing too over the top, just a hint of Valentine’s day. That’s why I love what you’ve put together here, neutral and not too lovey dovey. I’d add just a tiny pinch of pink or red somewhere too!

My hands down favorite Valentine’s Day decoration is the tea lights and silk red rose petals that my husband used when he proposed. I fill a large pedestaled glass jar with the rose petals and put the tea lights on my makeshift mantal.
