Neutral Valentine’s Day Decor

The thing about decorating for the holidays that is always a little challenging, is that I hardly ever use color in my home. And I want my holiday decor to blend in with my home. SO here is my take on a subtle neutral Valentine’s Day Mantel. I truly believe you can still decorate for the holidays without it being red, pink, purple and full of hearts and cupids.
When I think of Valentine’s Day and being romantic, I think of cozy and soft decor, candles, a fire and lots of hugs and and kisses XOXO. SO that is exactly how I decorated my mantel.
Farmhouse Inspired Mantel Decor

I made this simple XOXO bunting using pre-made canvas bunting I picked up at the craft store and then used heat transfer paper to put on the letters (one of my favorite techniques).

I keep Valentines Day simple with just a wreath. Guess I should do more – you are inspiring me!
we do not really celebrate valentine’s day.
I usually put up a heart shaped wreath on my front door for Valentines Day.
I decorate! My Home is already decorated. I have my Happy Valentine’s banner across my fireplace, and I have my heart wreaths up above the fireplace on the wall and I have my other decorations above the fireplace, my singing bears, and my glitter hearts around on the walls.
I put up a heart shaped wreath on my front door, add some pink flowers on my kitchen table and that’s about it right now.
I don’t usually decorate for Valentine’s day but might need to start :-) love this neutral approach
Covered two large X’s and one large O with scrapbook paper to put on my fireplace mantel. Have hearts in a glass container and trying to decide what to put under my cloche. Really enjoy decorating for all holidays even though the kids are away at college.
I love decorating for valentines–I have a heart garland over the mantel, a few heart shaped pieces for the mantel, heart wreath for the front door and vntage valentines cards scattered around the house.
Simply touches on my mantle: a framed printable, banner and heart metal marquee. I like simply touches for occasions such as this one. Thank you.
I always throw some hearts up somewhere, a banner, some wall clings, nothing too over the top, just a hint of Valentine’s day. That’s why I love what you’ve put together here, neutral and not too lovey dovey. I’d add just a tiny pinch of pink or red somewhere too!
Just a love print on the mantle and garland hanging and candles.
For some reason I usually just make treats for Valentines Day and have never even considered decorating the house. I do love this neutral scheme and may have to make my own flag banner. I love the simplicity of your scheme.
I have a cute Valentine’s Day themed wreath that I put on the front door.
I haven’t decorated for Vday in years. But I love yours. Gives me a reason to start again!
I have quite a few Valentine decor pieces. It’s one of my favorite holidays!
I like to let the kids decorate with homemade crafts mostly!
I am much like you in the fact that I’m not big into the red, pink, and purple decorations for Valentine’s Day. Aside from a simple wreath on my front door, I don’t decorate for Valentine’s day.
I love making crafts with my kids beforehand and making heart shaped pancakes the day of. We always do a special dinner too. I find it fun to do with the kids and they love it.
the decor is soo pretty and classic! love it!

My hands down favorite Valentine’s Day decoration is the tea lights and silk red rose petals that my husband used when he proposed. I fill a large pedestaled glass jar with the rose petals and put the tea lights on my makeshift mantal.
We don’t celebrate Valentine’s Day but we take advantage of the chocolate sales the day after.
So cute! Love this!
I usually decorate my house with heart banners, cute pillows, and picture frames.
I have some special cross stitches, photos, and banners that brighten the white of winter for a few weeks!
Adorbs, love the neutral colors!!!
Baking and buying flowers :)
I actually don’t decorate for Valentines Day.
I think I am a little behind with valentine decoration .. we still have our wintry decor and have a hard time taking it down especially with all the white stuff still on the ground :-) thank you for the chance!
I enjoy decorating for Valentine’s Day!! I like to use burlap for crafts & candles. You have given me some awsome ideas. Thank you!!! It would be great to win the give away ;)))))
Adorable! This is perfect for our patriotic decor that’s up year round- complements it perfectly!
I love this! It would perfectly complement our year round patriotic them! We usually just do valentines hearts on our table top tree!
I love your different take on Valentine’s day decor, really opened my eyes to something other than pink & red!!
In the past I haven’t really decorated for Valentine’s Day, but these cute neutral ideas have really inspired me! Love the little banner….might have to use that in my decor :)
Nothing right now but thanks for the great ideas on how to tastefully incorporate it
I haven’t decorated for Valentine’s Day, but your pictures inspired me! I think I’ll work on something for this year.
I love the use of books on your mantel, what a unique and attractive idea! I don’t decorate a whole lot for V-Day, but I do decorate my buffet wrack and I have a burlap V-Day wreath I put out.

I have a lot of old glassware and dishes from my mom that is pink and white – I usually display that!
We tend to just do a few extra pops of red or pink, nothing too big!
I decorated our fireplace mantle and kept out the red accessories that I had added for Christmas (red velvet throw pillows and serving tray) — can’t beat being able to repurpose decorations for multiple holidays!
I buy big Valentine hearts of candy for our 2 daughters. My dad always mailed some to me and the girls each Valentine’s Day. Now that he has passed away, we continue that tradition in his honor.
I like to do DIY valentines for my family.
How beautiful is your Valentine’s decor. I love the stacks of books on the mantle. Great idea.
Love the décor!
We put up these really cheesy heart lights but my girls love thrm, plus we have several canvases with Valentines Day themed says and art.
I haven’t decorated yet! I might put up some hearts around the fireplace!
I don’t really decorate for Valentine’s Day… a vase of flowers, a bottle of wine and I’m good! Your neutral look is much prettier than the red hearts look, for sure. Thanks for the giveaway!
To be honest, I don’t usually decorate…mostly bake something chocolate or decadent and pick up window clings for the kids bedrooms :)
We decorate with flowers, a heart wreath, and then some read, pink, and white things. I let the kids make some and we put those up as well.
My kids help me They already found 3 different hearts they put on the living room windows
I don’t really do any decor
I usually just put a wreath on the door.
Hearts! Hearts! Hearts! I try to have hearts around the house most the year along with red accents, but this time of year calls for more of both!
I’m usually a red and pink kind of girl for V-Day, but I’m loving the neutral colors too.
Decorate with paper cut outs!
I have a valentines day wreath and decorations that I get out
Paper chains are always fun with easy red and pink hearts
I don’t usually do anything special for Valentines Day.
I always seem to be a step behind and miss out on decorating. :(
I really love the neutral color pallet! That bunting is perfect and I really loving that cable knit pillow and the rustic arrow. Thanks for sharing!

Every year my daughter and I make homemade vday cards and bake something sweet for dessert.
I have a cute chalkboard countdown I hang up in the kitchen that my son loves, hang a heart wreath on our main door and bake heart shaped cookies.
We love baking sweets and filling out valentine’s cards for my child’s friends at school.
Simple touches throughout the house. Hearts, pillows and candy dishes, of course!
I do some crafts and bake some Valentine themed treats but I don’t actually decorate our house for this holiday.
I put out heart pillows.
This year I am not doing a thing.
I don’t do a lot, but my six year old daughter has been making a ton of decorations for our house.
We decorate with a valentine’s day wreath.
Take down some of my winter decorations and start transitioning to more spring (is it here yet!!) around valentines day.
For Valentine’s day I put up window clings.
thank you
We keep it super simple. This year i’m going to help the kids cut out hearts and make a banner to hang on the dining room window!
I like putting out red candles.
I always put up a Valentines wreath of some sort on our front door, but have not done too much inside. I love what you did! Inspires me to want to decorate the inside too!
We have a few decorations that we put out every year. Some hand quilted placemats and a wall hanging that my mom made and we added a few felt banners this year!
My decorations are so lame. I usually put some kind of door hanger on our front door and some red candles on our built-ins. Thanks for the inspiration! I’m gonna try a little better this year.
I don’t decorate for Valentine’s Day but we do put up fresh flowers!
I made a frame a while ago that says “I love you because ___”

We don’t really decorate for Valentine Day but my grandkids hang up window clings.
I get out my ?? Quilt and lots of pink and red accessories, including my painted rocks with sayings on them like “kiss me” !
I’m a huge Valentine person :( sorry! does painting my nails red or pink count if I’m in the house? ;) lol
I like to bring in more flowers!
We have a very cute string of red lights that look very nice on the mantle….but for Christmas and Valentine’s Day.
We don’t usually decorate for Valentine’s Day unfortunately. I like the neutral decor idea though!
We don’t do too much decorating actually but I do work on making special food like sweetheart sundaes..
I have my nieces over for a special lunch and we make valentines’ day crafts and decorate my house!
I get out our wreath, all of the kids crafts and artwork and this year we made a tassel garland- I love it!
I don’t decorate for Valentine’s Day, but I really like your style!
I have never thought about decorating my home for Valentine’s Day before. I buy my grandchildren their Valentine’s for their classmates as well as buy them a gift & candy along with my children as a token for the love I have for them. Otherwise, I do not do anything else for V-Day!
I’m not sure what we’ll do this year. Usually it’s pretty simple with a home date and a special meal. :)
I usually decorate the mantel and buy a pretty bouquet for the dining room table.
Red Towels, roses and love
i don’t do any to my home for Valentine’s Day.
Has a winner been selected?
Hi! I love this! What is the brand and color of the stone on your fireplace ? Thanks!
Hi! I so wish I could tell you, it was already completed when we moved into this home. I don’t know the details of it. I’m so sorry!
