I can’t say that the temperatures are dropping just yet, but my daughter goes back to school this week so I’m diving into full fall mode around here! Last week, I kicked off my fall decor with the DIY Drilled Pumpkins and today I’m revealing my Modern Boho Fall Mantel along with 9 other bloggers are also sharing their mantels (keep scrolling down)!
This will give you a big glimpse into the theme for my fall decor this year, it’s full of neutrals, mixed with tons of different textures with pops of deep Burgundy.
Decorating our mantel can be a little tricky at times because I have to work around two big obstacles, the TV in the center and the dark stone. With the background, I am typically limited to only using white, cream or light color decor, anything else blends right in.
Earlier this summer I came across a picture in the Crate and Barrel fall magazine where they used modern white vases filled with different colored branches for fall, and I knew they would be the perfect look for my mantel this year. I had a hard time finding the vases that I wanted, so I found these textured glass vases at Michaels and then spray painted them white. Super easy and did the trick!
I tend to believe that wood rounds can make any display feel like fall! Simply placed a few under some white vases made this grouping stand out and give it a complete look.
This little area makes me want to curl up and sit next to the fire all night. I found both of these pillows are Target this year. This gray fringe one, is one of my new favs!
In addition to the vases, I added a mixture of pumpkins and succulents to our mantel. I found these gray velvet ones with little feathers at Michaels, along with the super cute mini succulents. The white pumpkins I have had for years and continue to use them! There are times when I rotate out my decor frequently, and times when I hang onto certain times for years and years and never get tired of them :)
I wanted a little something to complete this corner, so I created this new Fall Feather Printable and framed it (it will be available for download soon!).
Seeing our mantel all decorated for all totally has me craving the changing of the seasons. But I’m not complaining too much because I’m sure we will have plenty of rain in the dark winter months to come!

I love the wood rounds. Did you just saw it from a tree you cut down or did you buy them? I also love that you spray painted the vases. I need to always remember that something can be painted to change its look for sometimes much less than buying it somewhere else. I don’t believe that a space is ever worse for having more decorative pillows; your space does look cozy with them and the throw! Thanks for sharing!

Hi! And thank you so much for the sweet words. For the wood rounds, I know someone locally who cuts them down and sells them, so I buy them from her. Those ones are raw birch wood.

Hi! Thanks much for the comment, unfortunately it was here when we moved in so I don’t know the exact stone used. I wish I could be of more help!

I love this! Where did you get the metal wood “bin”?
Taryn Whiteaker says
Thank you! I got it off Dot & Bo a few years ago, I’m not sure if they sell it anymore?
