I’m decking the halls earlier than ever and I am 100% OK with it. And thankfully so is my family! In fact all of the kids asked to get their trees out today for their rooms along with twinkle lights. I love that the family embraces the holidays together! I have been making and purchasing quite a bit of new decor this year since the style of our home has definitely evolved over the past 12 months. Last week, I shared my new DIY Concrete Ornaments and today will be some DIY vintage bell garland.
DIY Vintage Bell Garland
While browsing through Christmas decor online last month, I came accross this adorable vintage bell garland on West Elm (looks like it’s not up anymore). But I wasn’t about to spend $55 on one single strand of a simple garland. I decided to see if I could find any small vintage bells and was surprised to see tons of options on Amazon. I went with this pack of vintage bells for just $17.
Vintage Bell Garland Supplies:
I picked up a spool of jute for just $3 and strung them on!
I spaced them out about 6″ apart and tied a knot at each bell.
Seriously guys, this is the easiest project ever, almost doesn’t need a tutorial!
I hung them loosely across our mantel with the greenery. I love how they add a delicate touch to my mantel decor this year.
I’ll share more about our Christmas mantel next week. But in case you are wondering, for the garland I twisted to artificial greens together, this artificial cedar garland with this Fraser fir garland (mine is unlit).
