For the last couple of years I have struggled a little bit with how to decorate our porch for Christmas. It either turns out too cheesy or just not what I had envisioned. I decided to go with something completely different this year and do a simple Christmas Porch with Fresh Greens. And pretty much JUST fresh greens! I really love the classic and elegant look of simple greens on the porch and often wonder if I love it so much, why not try it myself? So here we are trying something new this year!
Today, also kicked off my Christmas Porch Hop that I have hosted for a few years. So be sure to scroll through the post to see the other 10 Christmas Porches.
Christmas Porch With Fresh Greens
Christmas Planters With Fresh Greens
I used the same black planters that I had up here throughout the fall (and many other seasons, I just love them) and created my own Christmas planters. I snagged up a few bushels of mixed greens from the grocery store and just started to play! Then, I added these birch logs and simple red berries I picked up from the craft store to give it some more texture. I think it could probably use a little more red somewhere in here but I’m happy with the classic and elegant look out here!
Hanging Greens on Door
This year I opted for a bunch of hanging greens tied up with a bow versus the traditional wreath. I loved the more modern plate charger wreath I made a few weeks ago, but it just didn’t work out here.
Winter Porch Decor
Now if only there was snow covering the porch and greens, then this look would be complete!
