Winter White Christmas Mantel

Thanks For Sharing!

I broke my rule this year by a long shot. I decorated my mantel for Christmas already! We normally have a strict rule of no decorating before Thanksgiving, but I’ve also noticed over the years that the season is so short and I find myself still decorating the week before Christmas to get it just right. And scrambling. So this year, this year I decided to get a jump start on my holiday decor so I can just sit back, relax and really enjoy the season with my family and sit in awe at the sparkling decor every night.

Not to mention, this is the first time I’ve ever had a mantel in my home and I just couldn’t resist. I have dreamt of hanging stockings on a mantel since I was a little girl. So here is a glimpse at my Winter White Christmas Mantel.

Winter White Christmas Mantel

Almost everything on this mantel I had packed away in my Christmas decor, I love being able to pull things out and create a whole new look with things I already have. I made just a few new purchased like the sheep skin and the canvas bag, isn’t it adorable?!

Drop Cloth and Sweater StockingsAnd this view, this just makes my heart so happy. I have NEVER had a mantel, not even as a little kid. So being able to actually hang stockings from a mantel over the fireplace is sort of magical for me.

Stained Monogram For Stockings

The monograms are simply raw wood monograms that I picked up at a craft store, I stained them in English Chestnut and then drilled a hole in the corner.

I added the little trees at the last minute. I found them at IKEA and couldn’t pass them up. I liked how organic they look. I tried decorating them, but that just didn’t feel right.

How cute is this bag? TJ Maxx for only $16! It was perfect.

Love your winter white mantel! I’ve always dreamed of decorating a mantel, and besides the one year I lived in a rental that I had one, I haven’t really had the chance. Can’t wait until next Christmas in our new place when i can go crazy decorating our mantels! P.S. those monograms on the stockings are too cute!

It’s beautiful! This year I’m missing having a mantle in our living room. :( I’m glad you finally have one, they are so fun to decorate!

Hello there! By chance did you build your fireplace or more specifically know where I can purchase the stone? It’s exactly what I’m looking for and I’m having a hard time finding it.

Hello I love the look of your fireplace and mantle. Could you tell me the type of stone that is on the fireplace? And also did you purchase or make the mantle?

    Thank you

Hi! Unfortunately I don’t know. The fireplace was already in the house when we bought it. I wish I could be of more help! And it looks like the mantel is just one piece of thick wood that they stained.

I like your fireplace, I am putting one in and I was wondering the dimensions of your fireplace?
