When I started renovating my backyard, it was important to me to maintain a timeless and modern country style. A black-and-white aesthetic makes any outdoor space feel elegant and inviting. In my pool area, I’ve found beauty in simplicity with black-and-white backyard pool accessories! While colorful pool toys are eye-catching, there’s a special charm in sticking to classic black and white. Imagine relaxing on a large pool float, under a patio umbrella, next to a calm pool. It’s not only about how things look—it’s about creating a chic and soothing space. Your pool floats and accessories don’t have to be colorful and crazy – it’s possible to find neutral black and white backyard pool accessories that look classic and chic!
Black & White Backyard Pool Accessories
Neutral Pool Floaties
When planning out my backyard, I knew exactly what I wanted the aesthetic to be! I had a vision of a Modern English Country Backyard with chic and neutral pieces that complement each other. I made it my mission to keep this backyard aesthetically pleasing while still including chic items to style around the pool.
I found some of the cutest neutral floaties that I absolutely LOVE! They’re still so fun to play or lounge within the pool, but aren’t an eye-sore to the whole backyard!
When adding different floaties to our pool, I wanted to find pieces that helped create dimension. Our pool is a unique shape, so I didn’t want it to be filled with multiple of the same size accessory and take away from the pool itself. I decided to go with the classic donut-shaped floaties. They are cute and more fun to use than a flatbed floaty! In addition to the round floaties, I added some round floating pool lights that are the perfect added piece! They add a little more light to the pool and complement the donut floaties, not to mention they are so fun to use. My kids love throwing them around like volleyballs, so it is safe to say these were a successful purchase!
Amazon Pool Side Seats
Sometimes you don’t feel like getting fully in the water but still want to get your feet wet and hang out with the party. I found these pool side seats on Amazon and they are PERFECT. They are actually really comfortable and you can also use them for beach days, in the bleachers at sporting events and more. They are very practical and fold up for storage. I also grabbed these striped pool towels, I’m a sucker for cabana stripes.
Luxury Pool Noodles
Although I wanted my backyard to have a neutral, modern look, we were gifted these luxury pool noodles from our real estate agent when we moved in and they have turned into a family favorite! They are my husband’s FAVORITE. In fact, we had to buy more for this season!
Pool Toys The Kids Love
We of course need to have a few things the kids love. We bought these reusable water balloons last year and they are the first things the kids go for on a pool day. They fill up with water and close with a magenet. They are SO much fun.
The best part, after those water balloon fights you don’t have to pick up the tiny pieces of balloons on the ground! The fun just keeps going with these. Get them here!
I discovered these fantastic light-up round pool floaties! They’re white when not lit up, so they add a great dimension to the pool during the day. But during the night, we turn them on so they illuminate the space and bring such a fun burst of color. Whether it’s a cool blue or a lively pink, these floaties add that extra spark to the pool area. It’s amazing how a small touch of color can completely transform the atmosphere and make every evening pool session feel like a celebration!
Pool & Backyard Storage
An important aspect I considered when revamping my backyard was pool storage. I needed a practical solution that also looked good with my modern design. After some searching, I found sleek storage bins that fit perfectly along the poolside. Their neutral color scheme seamlessly blended in with the backyard decor while providing ample space to stash away extra pool toys, towels, and cleaning supplies. A key to maintaining the overall aesthetic of my outdoor space is to keep the area looking tidy and inviting by keeping clutter out of sight!
The Finished Backyard
My backyard is officially done, and I am in love with how it’s turned out! With its sleek, modern style and the right pops of color, it’s become a true oasis. Every corner feels balanced and inviting, with just enough detail to keep things interesting. It’s proof that you don’t need a riot of colors to make a statement; sometimes, a subtle touch of vibrancy is all it takes to transform any space from ordinary to extraordinary!
