Winter weather might be cold and gloomy, but that doesn’t mean your winter wardrobe essentials have to be too! Since the weather this time of year in Texas is much different than it is in Washington (by about 20-30 degrees!), my winter fashion has had to adjust accordingly. However… I do enjoy not having a large winter coat cover the outfit that I loved putting together…
I’ve put together a list of my favorite winter wardrobe pieces, and have included all of them below!
Winter Wardrobe Essentials
If you know me, you know I love a good pair of overalls. They are the perfect apparel item that easily be quickly thrown on to run to the grocery store, or dressed up a bit to grab brunch with friends! Since it’s been a little chilly recently, my go-to styling for overalls has been a cozy neutral turtleneck, a versatile bag, and of course a comfy yet cute pair of booties.
Wide-leg jeans are in, and I’m here for it. I’ve loved being able to style these jeans because they’re so fun, but oh so comfortable! It is so easy to pair these jeans with a basic black turtleneck, a leather jacket, and if you’re having a bad hair day- add a leather cap!
Leggings, an oversized denim jacket, cozy boots, and your favorite white top are the four key elements to a quick and simple on-the-go outfit! I love having a staple outfit in mind for when I’m in a rush, so I can get ready and out the door in no time!
Holiday Party Outfits
The winter season is full of hustling from store to store, attending holiday performances, and of course (my personal favorite) holiday parties! However, the not-so-fun part of holiday parties would be deciding what to wear and how to style your chosen pieces. Lucky for you, I’ve picked three outfits that will be sure to get you holiday party ready with enough time to grab a hostess gift on the way!
Never in a million years would I think that I would be wearing a velvet blazer, but here we are and I am loving the look it provides! Recently, I’ve been all about mixing textures, and mixing this velvet blazer with a pair of leather pants and a basic turtleneck is a stylish way to elevate your outfit.
Monochromatic looks are so chic, especially during the holiday season! I love the way this sheer puff sleeve top looks with leather pants, and a cute pair of loafers! This outfit is the perfect look to have in your back pocket when you need an elevated style, but don’t want to spend the time picking out an entirely new outfit!
The classic black turtleneck and leather pants are back for another look, but this time with a cute pair of sneakers and a stylish zip-up sweater. I have been loving the look of layering turtlenecks under sweaters, and have no intention of stopping any time soon!
Loungewear Must-Haves
From lazy weekends at home to running through a busy airport during the holidays, everyone should have a few go-to loungewear sets in their closet! Getting ready in the morning to drop the kids off at school or going to Starbucks for a coffee has been so much easier once I purchased a few lounge sets that are easy to throw on but still look cute!
This ANRABESS set is the perfect look-alike of your favorite athletic wear brand’s sweatshirts and sweat pants (you know who I’m talking about). It is so comfy, and even better is on Amazon! I’m tempted to purchase all 15 color options because, truly, I could wear this all day, every day, and never get tired of it!
I was so excited when this Gibsonlook knit sweater and pant set arrived at my door… I felt like a little kid on Christmas when opening up my package! I love the elevated knit material that this sweater and pants are made of, because as cozy as it is, I know I don’t look like I’m wearing pajamas out in public. Obviously, you can never go wrong with a pair of Uggs, but when I’m on the go I’ll style this set with a pair of stylish sneakers!
‘Tis the season to be comfy… and jolly! While decorating our home for Christmas, of course, I wanted to be in festive attire that was also versatile for moving trees, boxes, and everything in between. This ‘Merry’ sweatshirt is perfect for dressing down with a pair of leggings, Uggs, and socks or dress it up with your favorite jeans or leather pants, and fashion sneakers.
Everyday Casual Looks
As much as I would love to wear loungewear every day of the week, I do love to mix up my styles with some everyday casual looks. These outfits are perfect if you’re going straight from running errands to meeting a friend or coworkers out for a quick bite to eat or cafe. It saves so much time to be dressed for all events of the day, so you don’t have to run home and change!
Earth tones make my fashion heart happy! Little did I know when taking this photo, that I was color-coordinating with my Starbucks cup. I love styling this shacket with a neutral bodysuit, my favorite jeans, a statement belt, and a pair of color-coordinating booties!
Neutrals, neutrals, neutrals! The material of this jacket is so soft and warm, and the colors match perfectly with a pair of light-wash jeans! For shoes, I would choose a pair of ballet flats or even a pair of sneakers! And! No outfit is complete without a crossbody bag!
I went a bit out of my comfort zone when styling this Aztec printed jacket, but I absolutely love the look it provides! Since the jacket is the focal point of this outfit, I went with my favorite basic turtleneck, a pair of jeans, and black shoes. For accessories, I opted for a black crossbody purse, a belt, and a fun pair of earrings!
