Hello friends! If you are visiting from Nina Hendrick Designs, welcome! I’m so excited to be part of a fun Holiday Decorating Series that will take us through the next few weeks! I kicked off the Christmas Season last week with my Dream Tree Reveal and now it’s time to take you outside and show you my Red and White Christmas Porch!
Red and White Christmas Porch
I know what you are thinking… RED!?! Did Taryn just say she is using red in her decor?! Yes, yes I did. I know I am known to use only neutrals in my decor, but this year I’m adding some fun pops of red throughout everything. I mean, I’m not going over board or anything but there are definitely some pops! ;)
I wanted a really classic look for the porch. A winter wonderland that felt welcoming and cozy.
I bought these 4.5 ft trees from Michaels (they light up too), I wasn’t crazy about the style of the base so I placed them in these cozy white fur baskets. I just love this look now!
For a little added winter wonderland look, I hung floating snowflakes on the ceiling. I can only hope that we have real ones floating down soon!
Black and White Scarf Wreath
Last year, I decided to create a fun Buffalo Check Wreath using a scarf and wire craft wreath. I loved it so much that I decided to make it again for this year but with a few small changes.
Let me share a little tip with you all, real poinsettias won’t survive in the cold weather very long, so I suggest getting fake ones if you want to display them on the porch!
Can I tell you something? I’ve never bought a Christmas door mat before and I thought it was about time :)
GET THIS LOOK
I’m looking forward to sharing more of our home with you this year! But in the mean time, I highly recommend you complete the full Entry Way Hop and jump on over to the next person below :)
