Setting the mood this year with our first Christmas tree reveal! Last year I finished up our bonus room just in time for the holidays, in fact I think I even styled this gold and champagne Christmas tree before I had even finished laying the hardwoods in here. I was just too excited. I went a little bit of a different direction in here this year and played around with some moody Christmas Tree Decor. Neutral yet bold, a little rustic yet chic. Let’s check it out.
Before I dive in too far, I want to say how much I love this tree reveal post every year because it’s in collaboration with a group of very talented bloggers who are all sharing their festive, fun and funky Christmas trees today. Moody Christmas Tree Decor
For this year’s tree in here, it was all about using what I have on hand. As I sorted through the bins I found myself drawn to the more natural ornaments, matte black, natural wood tones, and galvanized metal. There are pieces of me that wants to buy all new every year to create totally different looks! And also part of me that wants to reduce the need for spending this season and just focus on being minimalistic.
Rustic Modern Christmas Decor
Since I had JUST finished this room up last year, this was my first time taking my time and really being able to decorate in here for the holidays. I love the warmth the tree brings to this space, how the sparkle pops against the black walls and provides contrast with the rest of the room.
I also added some coffee table decor, like this vintage bowl I picked up at a vintage market a few years back and coffee table books.
