When do you start putting Christmas trees up around your home? I do mine in a bit of a delayed process over here. I start with my first one around now and then we cut a real tree down for our main living room so that always comes a bit later in the season so it doesn’t dry out. But I have our first tree up for the year and decided to put it up in our outdoor living space. I went with Cabin Chic Christmas Decor out here, a mixture of woodland pieces, faux fur and of course a little black to modernize it a bit.
I’m going to give you a tour of this space today and tell you how to get this look for your own home! I’m also joining 20+ other bloggers this week as we all share Christmas Tree Decor in our own homes, if you are joining me from Amber Oliver, welcome!
Cabin Chic Christmas Decor

While I have been minimizing the decor in most of our home over the past year or so, I definitely didn’t skimp out here. I decided to go all out and give it a very cabin chic, extra cozy vibe for the holidays.

With the large stone fireplace, I wanted to feel like I was in a cabin in the woods (which isn’t too far off from our house!) .

Cabin Chic Christmas Tree

I haven’t put a Christmas Tree out here for a few years and it was time to bring it back again! I love how it instantly transforms this area into a winder wonderland.

On the tree, I added a collection of woodland ornaments I have gathered over the years along with a faux fur trim. And I topped it off with a few round black ornaments. I kept it simple but also festive.

Tartan Christmas Decor

I never thought of myself as someone who would love tartan print, but I must say I have been really warming up to it over the years. I like pairing it with black accents and geometric pillows to give it a more modern eclectic look.

I found that wool blanket at a vintage market and the pillows were from Porter Lane Home.

As soon as I finished shooting this space, my kids asked if we could cuddle up in blankets and sit next to the fire together. SOLD! We sat out there for an hour or so and just had some really great moments together. Sometimes it’s those simple sweet times that make the biggest difference in our day.
I encourage you to hop to Cherished Bliss to see her gorgeous tree!
