There is something so peaceful about summer. One of my favorite things is waking up early on summer days. I love walking down stairs to a quiet house, watching the sun peer through the windows, listening to the birds chirping outside and looking forward to a fun filled day ahead with the kids. Summer mornings are truly the best. No rushing off to school, no jam packed days, just go with the flow. The best.
Today, I’m so honored to be teaming up with Country Living Magazine and Birch Lane for a Summer Home Tour. As I take you through our downstairs living area I hope you feel that sense of peacefulness that I love about summer. I’ll also be sharing some NEW photos of our updated family room!
On this side of the room, we added the same jute rug in gray to help balance the gray out (although I think I need even more!). I also added a new farmhouse style throw blanket that I spotted on Birch Lane. I have such an obsession with blankets, I might need a bigger ladder :)
You all have probably seen my console a million times, it’s one of my favorite pieces. I recently updated the prints and added this adorable ABC print.
