It’s time to start talking about Style Inspiration For Our New Home! If you’ve been around here for awhile you’ve probably gotten a sense of my style by now. Our first home turned out to be Modern Farmhouse and this house will carry on some similar trends but will also be a little different. One thing I’ve learned over the years is that one must adapt their personal style to their environment, so there will definitely be some differences with our new home and it’s exciting.
One thing you can count on. I will be staying true to myself, with lots of mixed metals, wood, and NEUTRALS and clean modern lines. Black, white, gray and taupe. That about sums it up!
What will be different? Well, this house definitely has different ‘bones’ than our old home. It’s a new build and has a more luxe look to it. The designer added a lot of ‘bling’ to the house, so it’s going to be my goal/challenge to marry the glam with my love for a modern industrial look. So far, I’m loving how it’s turning out. I’ve already showed you a few glimpses with my Fall Home Tour, and you’ve seen peeks of Little Man’s room here and here. Now let’s take a look at what’s in store for the rest.
I just love this entire look found via Arhaus. The reclaimed wood, classic leather couches combined with some bling.
And this bedroom from House and Home . LOVE. We will be using a lot of similar elements in our bedroom, a dramatic and tall headboard, live edge slab pieces, and cow hides mixed with a very classic bedding.
While I don’t see our walls getting this dark any time soon, I am really drawn to the drama in this room. The bold black and white bedding mixed with leather pillows and crisp white decor. LOVE. via Lonny
This whole space via Restoration Hardware is just stunning. Enough said.
This look would look amazing in our home office. I have been wanting to put tall steel shelves and old sports photos in there and this image just brings the whole vision together. via Pinterest
And while we are talking about the office, there are so many things I love about this space from Ashley Goforth. The antler chandelier is just stunning and the rustic wood desk mixed with the cream cowhide is perfection.
Ok and how about this one from Arhaus? My husband keeps talking about this desk. And yes another antler chandelier. I can’t get away.
This room is a little on the dark side for me, but I’m drawn to the drama and those couches, oh those couches. via Arhaus
Now let’s lighten things up a bit with the kitchen. Aside from the flooring, our kitchen has a lot of similarities to this pic I found via Pinterest. All white kitchen with clean lines and lots of bling. We are in the process of designing our dining room table with now and I am SO SO excited. It’s going to be fab!
So you are getting an idea of what I’m going for? Bold, rustic, mixed with a little glam. I think it would fall under the category of Modern Ranch or Glam Lodge. We live out in the country in the Pacific Northwest and I think it’s going to work perfect into our environment! Now let’s see if I can pull this off…
