When it came the time to pick a theme for the party I knew right away what I wanted to do for her. We have a train that goes through the town we live in and you can hear the horn from our house. Miss E LOVES it and has quickly become obsessed with choo-choo trains. I think we watched Polar Express 1,000 times this holiday season and we even took her on a real train ride to ‘the north pole’. So it only made sense to give her a very girly Pink Train Party.
Pink Train Party
We had the party at an activity center this year so I wasn’t able to go all out with the theme like her 1st birthday, but here are some of the little touches I put together.
Most of the inspiration for the party came from this train party from Stacey Hawley Photography. I love what she did!
DIY Train Ticket Party Invitations
I created the invites with my Silhouette Cameo. I downloaded a ticket shape and then created the graphics myself.

I also created the little cupcakes toppers using my Silhouette Cameo. I’ve seen ones you can purchase on Etsy if you don’t have the ability to create them yourself.
I kept the party favors simple and put together little bags filled with pink and white candy and filled a little wooden crate I picked up at Michaels.

You can view the tutorial for the Canvas sign here.
And of course Miss E needed a little Birthday Girl Shirt! It wasn’t train themed but it was pink :) (Tutorial here)
So there are just a few of the little things I put together for her party this year.
Adorable! My little girl just turned 9, believe me it gets faster and faster every year. I love your train tickets. Super cute!
Such a cute birthday idea! I really love the tickets, I was surprised with a Cricut for Christmas and have yet to use it… I am guessing it is similar to a silhouette machine.
Aww, Taryn! Those birthday tickets are absolutely precious! I’m sure Miss E loved her train-themed party!
Oh SOOO cute!! Love this cute little train party.
So very CUTE!!! Who wouldn’t want to go to a PINK train party ;) Love it!

Girl you never fail to amaze me with all you do, how talented you are. And you don’t think you did much for your little sweetie’s b/d? wow. You gals so inspire me what all you do for your kids b/d’s. It’s wonderful I think.
I offered to make a banner for a little gal I know for her son’s 2nd. b/d on Saturday. He loves basketball and green and yellow. I’m still figuring out how I’m going to make it. I offered to make it for her to show other Mom’s so maybe they’d have me make banners for them. I’ve been trying to find a way to get the word out about what I do. I can’t afford to advertise or go to crafts fairs so I’ve been thinking on a way to get noticed. When she told me about her little guys b/d I decided to talk to her about it. She was thrilled when I offered to make it. Wish me luck ok? I’m kinda nervous about it but what do I have to lose? The Mom works at Burger King we visit too often.
Happy Week Taryn.
Taryn, it is all so cute! I love it :)
It turned out absolutely adorable Taryn!!
