One would think our house is completely decorated for Christmas, but that’s not the case at all (You can view my current Christmas tour here). We have the big things done like our mantel and our tree, but I’m still working on our porch and a few other little things. Sometimes it’s fun to just keep chipping away and taking my time. What about you?
Today, I’m sharing a little Mini Christmas Tree in a ChalkBoard Pot. It’s a time piece of decor that you can put your own spin on and sometimes a little tree is all you need.
A simple little tree on or coffee table brings a whole new feel to our family room. It brings a sense of joy and peace and makes me want to curl up in a blanket and drink hot cocoa. Anyone else with me?!
I purchased all my supplies for this project at Michaels.
Supplies:
- Chalkboard Pot
- Mini Christmas Tree
- Adhesive Stencils
- Chalkboard Pen
If you don’t have your own cutting machine, these adhesive stencils are the best. They are super easy to use and you don’t have to worry about them slipping while you trace the letters. I love this pack of inspirational words and I thought they were perfect for the holidays.
You could easily paint the letters on, but since this is a chalkboard finish I wanted to use a chalkboard pen so I could erase the words and create a new design down the road.
There you go, a super simple and you can personalize it all you want!

PS. I originally shared this post over at Classy Clutter! Check them out, two of my favorite girls!

Did you buy the chalkboard pot from Michaels? Or did you have to buy a pot and spray paint it with chalkboard paint?
Taryn says
I bought it already covered in chalkboard paint at Michaels :)

I bought all of the above supplies at Michael’s in the hopes of making this adorable pot. I didn’t make it past the second stencil. Even though I pressed the stencils down as hard as I could and ensured the edges were sealed as much as possible when I peeled the stencil up the edges of the letters were not crisp and clean and looked nothing like your pictures. What could I have done wrong?

Fun idea! Love the black and white pot against the evergreen tree!
