Welcome back from the weekend! Anyone else have a busy but fun past few days soaking up all the holidays?! It’s time for the last week of our Christmas House Tours. So far I’ve shared our Front Porch, Outdoor Living Space, Family Room and now it’s time for Christmas in the Kitchen! Before I begin, have you been by Nina Hendrick yet? Nina’s dining area is one of my favorites!
Our kitchen is truly the heart of our home. We spend so much time in this space, from making meals, doing arts and craft projects at the island and making memories baking together. And I swear I am doing at least two loads of dishes a day. Since there always seems to be so much happening in this space, I really didn’t want to over do the Christmas decor in here. I wanted to keep it simple and festive.
I used a lot of black and white in here along with a little bit of greener.
This is our only table in the house. Our downstairs is one big open space (see more pics on IG), we don’t have a formal dining area so this is it. This is the table we use daily for meals and also use for formal meals.
Our island gets tons and tons of use every day. Our kids can be found sitting up here A LOT. And these days we have been embracing the holidays and making tons and tons of sugar cookies! My middle boy is obsessed with baking and we probably make a new batch every few days. I absolutely love it.
With all the baking we do, it’s necessary that we have a proper cookie jar on the counter. I found this personalized cookie jar last spring and I think it is just the cutest thing. It would make a really great gift for the holidays too (hint hint).
I’m not sure if I’ve ever shown this angle before, but our dining table heads right into our outdoor living space. Did you see it all dressed up for the holidays? You can see it here.
Thanks for hanging out in the heart of my home with me today! Now hop on over to Blesser House to see her beautiful table!
Be sure to click through to Blesser House and hop onto the next beautiful dining area!
Oh my gosh, that cookie jar really is THE cutest little thing.
Wishing you a Merry Christmas ~Shannon
I love how simple but festive everything is! Those little branches against your backsplash just make me happy!
Everything looks so beautiful
As a fellow black and white lover – this is so gorgeous Taryn!! Love the bottles with the greenery and your kitchen is simply stunning!! Happy holidays friend! xo Heather
Hello! I just discovered your blog through the “styled and set holiday” blog hop. I wanted to ask where you purchased your table – it is beautiful and just our style. Thanks!
Hi! So glad you found me over here! The table was a custom project, I found the raw slab from a local guy and then hired someone to do a custom finish on it and then I put the legs on myself. It was wayyyyyy cheaper doing it this way!
