Happy Easter Week! We are excited over here, the kids have been counting down for the past few weeks. I’ve got a few tricks up my sleeve since it will be a little different this year. Last week I had the chance to play around with a few different Easter tablescapes. I wanted to do a very minimalistic look using things I have around the house and nature. Today, I’m going to show you how to get this Black and White Minimalistic Easter Table look and tomorrow will be a second, more traditional look. Then you can tell me which one you like better!
Black and White Minimalistic Easter Table
I love a good black and white modern design. Whether it’s a full room or something simple like a tablescape. I really lean towards the clean minimalistic lines, the no frills and just simple look. Since most of us aren’t able to get to the store easily and it’s taking longer to order things online, I wanted to show you a look I put together with things I already had.
I started with a basic roll of white kraft wrap I had in my gift wrap box. You can find a whole roll of it on Amazon. It’s inexpensive and creates a nice textured base. You could easily add another layer and put a runner down the middle. I chose to keep this very basic.
Using Natural Elements On Tablescapes
On one of our walks to the river by our house, I noticed these pretty branches where the buds were just barely popping through. I thought they were so pretty and so spring. So I cut a few down and put them in a glass cylinder vase.
A simple touch of greenery that really screams spring.
Black and White Dish Sets
I got these black ceramic dishes at ANKO last year and LOVE them. They are very reasonable, the dinner plates are only $2.50 each! I often like to mix and match my dinnerware for tablescapes, but I liked how the black set looked against the what ‘tablecloth’. Simple and bold all at the same time.
To give it a little more of an Easter touch, I added a few modern bowls filled with a little reindeer moss and white and gold speckled Easter Eggs.
Modern Easter Egg Display
I’ll be sharing a second version of this look on the blog tomorrow! If you like modern but also a little more traditional Easter decor, you won’t want to miss it!
