To start off, I can’t believe I am just getting around to posting this on the blog! Anyway, back in October we threw a Bow Tie Sip and See Party for Mr. M. We didn’t have any showers for him since he was our second and we didn’t know the gender throughout the pregnancy, so we decided to have a Sip and See Party for our close friends and family after his arrival. Here are a few of the details.
I went with a Bow Tie theme and used mint, navy and a shade of orange for the primary colors.
Sometimes I have a hard time narrowing down my ideas for parties and what I find helpful is to buy a theme pack of paper and that sets the tone for the rest of the party decor. I love using simple paper for decor because it’s cheap and I can just use my Silhouette to cut out bunting, cards, labels, etc.
The chevron fabric from Hobby Lobby, it comes in several different colors and it’s so cute!
Since it was a ‘Sip and See’ party, I put together a sipping station filled with a variety of beverages for both kids and adults.
And to keep with the theme I added little bow ties to each of the glasses.
And I turned the napkins and utensils into bow ties as well!
It was a really fun event and we are thankful to our friends and family for making it so special!

Where do you find the time Taryn to do such an exquisite party? What you did for that party is so incredible, so many cute things for the bow tie theme. You really went all out. You might not think so but I sure do.
I’m not much of a party giver. I’ve had people from where I worked one year for Thanksgiving and that was something for me. Guess cause I felt so comfortable and happy with the people there. They were such a joy to have. Always shied away from having tupperware parties things like that cause I’d get so nervous about how my house looked.
The way you made party for little Mr. M. your home looks like you’ve been having parties forever. Very impressed with your talents. Happy week

How beautiful! And so creative too– I love how you worked in the bow ties in so many different ways! Great tip about starting with a paper pack. I know I always have the same problem when it comes to party planning. Thank you so much for sharing all of this cuteness with us! Have a great week, Miss Taryn!
