Mini Pallet Autumn Door Sign

Thanks For Sharing!

Earlier this year I made my first Mini Pallet sign for Valentine’s Day using wood shims and then came an Easter Sign, and then my Moss Monogram Sign. These signs are just so easy to make and I love how they turn out. Well, after going through spring and summer my moss sign was starting to fade and I needed something new for fall. So I decided to recycle it and give it a little makeover and make an Autumn Door Sign.

And here is how it looks on my fall porch this year:

If you’ve missed my other tutorials on how to make these Mini Pallet Signs, here is a recap.

SUPPLY LIST:

– Pack of Wood Shims

– Wood Glue

– White Acrylic Paint

– Paint Brush

– Stencil

– Burlap Ribbon

Start by removing the shims from the packaging and laying two shims side by side. Place a line of wood glue down the middle of each shim.

Carefully place the shims on top of the two base pieces. Note* shims are not even, they have a slight angle to them, so be cautious of the difference in the thickness. I wanted my pallet to be a little rugged so I rotated each shim, every other one, but you could also keep them all at the same angle for a different look.

I painted the surface in white acrylic paint and let it dry.

I created my graphic in my Silhouette Studio and created a vinyl stencil, but because of the uneven shims it was easier to just pencil on the design and then hand paint it. I used black acrylic paint and crimson.

Here are some of the other Mini Pallet Signs I’ve made. Make sure to pin them for later :)
