Last week, I revealed my Modern Farmhouse Bathroom makeover and I have one last DIY tutorial to show you. It’s super simple and takes no time at all and would make a great piece for a wall gallery or a small rom.
So here’s my DIY Mason Jar Succulent Planter.
I know some people have expressed concern about drainage within a mason jar but I read over at Not Just A Housewife that it can work as long as you don’t over water, which shouldn’t be a problem with succulents since they need very little. You can also put rocks in the bottom to help!
Supplies:
– Scrap piece of wood
– English Chestnut and Kona Stain
– Galvanized Perforated Plumbers Tape
– (1) 3/4″ Screw
– Mason Jar
– Succulent
I started by wrapping the plumbers tape around the mason jar until it overlapped and I found two holes that aligned. Then I used heavy duty scissors to cut it.
I placed a screw directly through the two holes that aligned and then screwed them in place.
And then hang it on the wall and plant your succulent! I hung mine by placing a screw directly through the board and into the wall.
Do you have a place for one of these?
Don’t forget to check out my bathroom reveal here. :)

Hi! I’m your newest follower (as of 2 minutes ago) and I have a quick question if you don’t mind. You mentioned two kinds of stain in the list, but I was wondering what the exact staining process is because it turned out so great! Thanks!
