There is no better way to show the people around you how much you care than with homemade Valentine’s, don’t you agree? Big or small it’s always the thought that counts. Today, I thought I’d give you a peek at my KISS ME Valentine’s Day Favors for this year! Simple, sweet and filled with lots of KISSES :)
Handmade Valentine’s Day Favors
– Fabric- I used this gray and white polka dot and chevron found at Hobby Lobby (amount dependent on how many you want to make)
– True Red Textile Paint by Jacquard Products
– Red Thread for Accent + sewing machine
– Fabric Rotary Cutter (or scissors)
– Paint Brush
– Stencils (optional)
Start by laying your fabric out on a cutting mat. Here’s a tip, use the fold to your advantage and use it as a finished side. This way you only have to make two seams!
Cut out your fabric pouches. Mine measure 5″ X 7 1/2 ” (unfinished). Turn the fabric inside out and stitch along the seams. Turn them right side out and use a top-stitch to finish off the opening. Don’t you love the little red stitches showing through?
Time to get your painting skills on. To prevent the paint from bleeding through, I folded up a napkin and placed it inside the pouch. Next, I used my Silhouette to create a lip stencil.
Using your True Red Textile Paint, paint the lips onto the fabric. My stencils didn’t stick very well to the fabric so I used it more as a guide. Using a fine tip paint brush I outlined the lips and then I removed the stencil and filled the rest in with the paint.
And because I like a variety, I threw a few hearts in there too!
Lastly, I filled my lips with lots of kisses because they were just screaming KISS ME! :)
So what are you making for Valentine’s Day this year? Are favors on your to-do list?

These are super cute! I love the little spot of red from the paint onto the already super adorable fabric.
Cute idea! I think I’m going to make a few of these to go along with the Valentine goodies I’m sending my nieces and nephews this year. I’ll also make a few for my kids. I’m going to do a 14 days till V Day mailbox for them and can use this for one of the days. ;)
Oh these are so super cute!! The kisses and hearts against the polka dots and chevron – totally a different twist for Valentine’s Favors and I’m absolutely loving them.
ah the possibilities! I think I’ll use the Lumiere Crimson, though – love the shimmer!
Wow! I can’t sew for the life of me! Beautiful! Just beautiful! :D I’m here from the Crafty Soiree!
So adorable idea! So cute with the red lips and a great contrast to the Grey. Very nice, thank you so much for sharing Taryn and have lovely day!

Cute! If my kids went to school I’d totally be making these for their valentine treats! One of the downsides to homeschooling I guess!

Have a nice weekend!
These are so cute! Your painting came out good. I hate sewing but these seem easy enough that I just might give it a go again.
EEK! So cute! I’m totally pinning this!
I’d love it if you would share this on my Friday link-up party!!
