If you have been following along on IG Stories, you already know that the big project we started during quarantine is finishing off our garage! We have a huge RV bay that is currently used as my workshop and decor storage. We are So fortunate for the space and it’s time to finally finish it off. Today I want to share our garage makeover plans with you!
Garage Makeover Plans
Right, now, our garage is open studs and a complete disaster. We have had big dreams for this space for a long time and I’m so excited to see it come to life. Since we spend so much time in our garage, we want to make it an extension of our home and finish the walls and make it as functional as possible. In the end, we want it to be the ultimate garage space with a full Crossfit Gym setup, a workshop for me, storage for all my decor and supplies and also a place for the kids to play basketball, etc. Ready to see the different sections?
Home Crossfit Gym
The first section is the gym! Right when all this craziness in the world started and gyms closed down we actually started building out our own gym and got a head start. My husband and I both do Crossfit and it’s something we work into our daily schedule so it is important to us to be able to continue at home and stay healthy.
We have 20′ ceilings in this part of the garage so we are taking full advantage of the height.
Aside from the gear, we will be finishing the walls with concrete panels created by Concreate. This are SO cool and would look good in any room of your home. I can’t wait to show you how easily they go on. You will love them.
Workshop
This is my little slice of heaven right here! While I have the space, I’ve never had a true workshop for all my tools, lumber, and a place to build. Every time I work on a new project I have to clear space in our garage and make an even bigger mess :) But that is about to change!
On the far side of our garage, we are installing an organization wall to cover the studs and this will allow for extra storage and organization. They have accessories that hang from the walls for just about every tool, sports equipment, etc.
To build out my workspace we will be working with HART Tools to create the ultimate workshop! I finally have two big HART Tools Tool Chests to store tools and supplies and then the rest will be displayed on the Proslat Wall.

It was a little hard for me to fully show how this area will all come together.
I’m looking forward to going beyond home decor for a bit and showing you how to make your garages even more functional with organization and planning.
