Fall Home Tour

Welcome to my first official Fall Home Tour! When I was asked to join a few of my favorite bloggers for a Fall Home Tour I was a little nervous since we’ve only lived in our house for about 6 weeks. But I decided it would give me a little motivation to get organized and start the process of making our house feel like a home. We still have a lot of empty spaces and blank walls, so I’m taking you on a tour of just a few of my favorite places in the house that are actually decorated!

I love this season and I’m excited to show more of our new home with you. But first, if you are visiting from Setting for Four
The Golden Sycamore, welcome!

If you’ve been around for a while, it’s not surprise that my love for neutrals and texture is in full force this season.

NEUTRAL FALL MANTEL BY DESIGNDININGANDDIAPERS.COM 4

I shared our Fall Mantel a few weeks ago, but I’m still loving the cozy look it brings to our family room.

Fall Centerpiece

I generally don’t add a ton of fall decor around my home, but I did manage to set up a simple yet festive fall centerpiece for our kitchen island. And don’t my new wood coasters look great with it?

And now, I’m finally sharing one of my favorite places in our home, our outdoor living space! This was a major selling point for me. We live in the Northwest where it is sprinkling 9 months out of the year and this covered space is absolutely perfect for where we live. We have already spent many evenings out here enjoying the fireplace and entertaining. It’s heavenly.

My brother actually gave me the idea to put pumpkins up on the ledge. I think it’s the perfect place to add seasonal decor and I’m looking forward to many displays to come!

We lucked out and already had this outdoor furniture set that fit perfectly with the space. It was my Mother’s Day gift this year and and I simply switched out the pillows and added a cozy blanket to give it more of a fall look.

So warm and cozy! Just sitting out here for 5 minutes gives me a little refresher.

My wife and I were browsing the Internet for stone fireplace ideas and we landed on yours. We love the stone you picked and was wondering what brand, style, and color it is?

    Thanks

I kept all the original flooring, cabinets, backsplash and fixtures and did only cosmetic updates to update this space. I wanted to add more contrast, character, warmth and texture. By smoothing out the texture of the walls it instantly gave it an updated look, the new paint color added contrast, the wood ceiling added warmth and texture and all the antiques and vintage pieces gave it the charm. 🖤
