How do I get through fall without a few DIY Pumpkins? Some of my favorite posts over the years have been decorating pumpkins. My paint dripped pumpkins are one of my most popular posts EVER on the blog. Anyway, I couldn’t resist some fun DIY Gold Leaf Pumpkins this year.

DIY Gold Leaf Pumpkins
I love a good gold leaf look. I made these DIY Gold Leaf Plates a few years ago and thought they were so fun so I decided to use some left over supplies on these pumpkins.
They are a little modern, a little glam, and so fun!
Gold Foil Pumpkin Tutorial
Supplies
- Craft Pumpkins ( I spray painted them white)
- Gold Leaf Sheets
- Gold Leaf Adhesive ( I use the spray)
Lightly spray the pumpkins with the Gold Leaf Adhesive and let it sit for a second until it gets sticky.
The Gold Leaf Sheets can get pretty sticky, so either use a foam brush or gently press the foil down. I like to peel off small pieces so they look a little more abstract. You can also crinkle them up to add a textured look.
I started with a thicker look around the stem, and then gently dispersed it as I went down the pumpkin.
