Thoughtful Gift Wrap Ideas

Thanks For Sharing!

Disclosure: This post was sponsored by Hallmark Signature through their partnership with POPSUGAR Select. While I was compensated to write a post about Hallmark Signature, all opinions are my own.

The Holidays are in full swing and I couldn’t be more excited! One of my absolute favorite traditions this time of year is wrapping all the Christmas gifts and carefully choosing the perfect card for each recipient. Every year I pick a gift wrap theme that goes with my Christmas decor and I carefully wrap each present with lots of ribbon and accessories and beautiful cards. I love taking a little extra time to enjoy the process and give gifts full of meaning. Sometimes it’s not the gift itself that is the best part, but the words in the card to go along with it.

I thought I’d give you all an inside peek into the process I take when wrapping my gifts and tell you a little bit about the person receiving this gift. So here are some thoughtful gift wrapping ideas and a look at some show stopping cards.

Thoughtful Gift Wrap Ideas with Hallmark Cards

  1. Start by collecting all of the cards that speak to you, wrapping paper, ribbon and lay them out.

Of course I pick out all the neutrals! But this year I’m using beautiful pops of metallic as well!

2) Pick out unique cards that coordinate with your gift wrap!

These gorgeous Hallmark Signature Cards are beautifully crafted and such great quality. Not to mention they have designs for every style! I love the classic look of the ones above, and the 3D elements. Not only are they beautiful, but they are full of thoughtful messages inside. The messages leave a great prompt to express how much you care to your loved ones.

3) Select the perfect card that fits the recipient.

This has been a really big year for my daughter. She started full time kindergarten this year and in just a few short months has grown up so much and is starting to read so well! She has become such a big girl, helping with more things around the house, working so hard in school and maturing into a beautiful young lady. She has a big role with two crazy little brothers and she deserves some fun girlie gifts for just her! She absolutely LOVES everything glitzy and glam and I wanted her to get a little extra gift this Christmas that made her feel special. I wanted a card that fit her style and also had a beautiful message for this holiday season.

4) Mix and Match!

I layered a birch bark ribbon with a metallic geometric print. I kept with my neutral theme but added tons of texture and character to simple gift wrap. I

5) Write a personalized message for your recipient.

As my daughter learns how to read, I wanted to write a special message that she could learn how to read on her own and have it be just for her. I wanted the chance to be able to sit down with her and help her sound out the special message during this time of her life.

Gift tags are quick and to the point, but there is really nothing better than taking the time to write a thoughtful and personalized message. Christmas is such a wonderful time of year to really tell someone how much you care and why you care. In this age of social media, I feel like hand written cards are even more special and meaningful and this Christmas I hope to write in more of them!

6) Package it all up!

I think using fun metallic pens always finished off my cards with an elegant look! And then I get so excited that I typically can’t wait until Christmas to give my gifts.

At the end of the day, the beautiful wrapping may be fun to do but no matter how it looks on the outside, the most important part is telling the ones you love how much you care with a special and beautiful card.

Hallmark Signature cards are available in the card aisle wherever Hallmark cards are sold.
