Quick Tips For Getting Your house Guest Ready

Thanks For Sharing!

Disclosure: This post is sponsored by Downy Wrinkle Releaser Plus, all opinions are my own!

Have you ever heard that meme that goes something like “I get more cleaning done in the 10 minutes before guests arrive, than I do in an entire week?” Yes that’s me. But over the years I’ve gotten a pretty good system down on how I clean our downstairs so it looks pretty clean and put together in just 10-15 minutes of work! As we enter the holiday season, I want to show you my Quick Tips For Getting Your House Guest Ready!

Quick Tips For Getting Ready For Guests

Getting ready for the holidays can be stressful. Here are quick tips for getting your house guest ready, simple ways to freshen up your home and you!

Set Out Those Blankets

Nothing says cozy like a good blanket to cuddle up with! With the temperatures dropping outside, and snow on the ground, having cozy blankets available for guests is a must! I always have 1-2 blankets laid out on each couch that blend with my decor and are also super soft for guests to grab. Give them a nice fold, lay them out and then give them a spray of Downy Wrinkle Releaser Plus to smooth out those lines. They will smell super fresh too!

Fluff Up those Pillows

You all know I am obsessed with with throw pillows! I switch out my throw pillows for almost every season, but they can often look a little sad and disgruntled when the dog hair gets attached and the kids smushing them and sitting on them. It only takes a couple of minutes, but I go around to each pillow with a lint roller to get all those stray hairs and fuzzies off. They clean up in no time!

Once they are clean, you can give them spray of Downy Wrinkle Releaser Plus and smooth out the fabric.

Quick Vacuum Job

Right before guests arrive, I like to give our living area a quick vacuum. I love seeing those nice straight vacuum lines across the room (anyone else?), it instantly makes this space feel clean and put together. (Even if it was covered in toys 10 minutes before!).

Quickly Freshen Up Your Holiday Outfit

Now it’s time to get your outfit ready! To save a little time you can use Downy Wrinkle Releaser Plus! Spray the material (you may want to test a section first).

After you spray, give the material a nice tug and help smooth those wrinkles out! I did find that it worked little better on cotton materials.

Both scents smell great and add the extra bonus of releasing wrinkles without an iron while also giving it a fresh scent! They also have a travel size that’s perfect for your suitcase!

Enjoy Time With Your Guests

Now go have fun with your guests and act like you just cleaned your house for hours :)
