Easy Valentine’s Day Bark

Everyone loves an easy recipe, right? Something you can make with one trip to the grocery store or you might even have one of those magical moments when you look in your pantry and actually have everything you need already! Oh that is such a great feeling. I’m popping in today to share my recipe for an Easy Valentine’s Day Bark. Dark chocolate, marshmallows, salted peanuts and a little flare.

Easy Valentine's Day Bark

This was so easy to make, it only took about 15 minutes and it was something that my son and I could do together. This is actually the perfect thing to make with kids because it doesn’t have to be perfect, just throw everything on and let it set!

Easy Valentine's Day Bark

This has all those yummy flavors that complement each other, a rich dark chocolate with salty goodness and a little bit chewy.

You can view the full recipe below, but I’ll walk you through the steps first. Grab a bag of Dark Chocolate Chips, and pour them into a bowl. Place them in the microwave and heat on high for 30 seconds. Stir, then heat them again for another 30. Repeat if necessary. Just be careful not to over heat because it will change the consistency.

Once the chocolate is fully melted, pour the chocolate onto a Silicone Baking Mat. These are great because once the chocolate is hardened, it just peels right off. Spread the chocolate until it is about 1/4″ thick. Easy Valentine's Day Bark

For the topping you can get as creative as you want, but I used about 1/2 cup of Valentine’s Day M&M’s, 1/2 cup of mini marshmallows, and salted peanuts. At this point I recommend placing it in the fridge to help it harden. Even for just 5-10 minutes.

Next, place a handful of red melting chocolate into a bowl and place it in the microwave for 30 seconds. Stir, then drizzle on top of the chocolate creation. Place it back in the fridge for about 20 minutes.

Using a large knife, or your hands, crack the bark into pieces! You can either box it up into little gifts or serve on a plate!
