Happy Thanksgiving! Most years I am still running around at the last minute trying to pull all the pieces together and get all the details right. Are you still doing the same? I’m here to tell you that you don’t have to go out and buy brand new place cards and expensive napkin rings, you can often make some very beautiful pieces using things from around your house and yard!
I put together a few unique ideas for easy fall napkin holders that can easily be tweaked for Christmas too or every day use as well!
Easy Thanksgiving Place Setting Ideas
1. Modern Geometric
Let’s start out with some geometric Washi Tape, if you are any bit crafty or like cute thing I bet you have some of this in your house! Washi Tape, TP roll, Marker and Scissors, that’s all you need!
For a modern look, go with all black and white. Cut a 2″ piece of TP roll, wrap it in one color Washi Tape, and cut a second solid color and turn it into a cool geometric tag.
2. All About Nature
For this next one, you just need to head to your back yard! Grab a few brightly colored leaves that just dropped, use a metallic marker and some string.
Gather about three leaves together, write on one of them with a marker and then tie them onto the napkin for a beautiful arrangement that adds a bright pop of color to your plate!
3) Easy Paper Napkins Rings
Have patterned paper laying around? Tape, scissors, paper and a few optional tags is all you need. Cut a 1 1/2″ piece of paper loop it around and then tie a tag onto it. This paper and tags are from the Jen Hadfield line!
Super simple, clean lines and a nice little personalized touch!
4. Industrial Pumpkins
Do you have any Quikrete or left over concrete laying around along with a candy mold? You can make these adorable pumpkins using a plastic mold, fast drying concrete and some copper wire! (Get more details here).
These unique pumpkins will surely start conversations among your guests!
5) Little Sprigs
For this all you need is a few little sprigs from the yard, or even use fake ones! And hand stamp (or write) on a piece of card stock and create a tag!
Or simply grab a little stem from a bouquet of flowers.
6) Print and Cut
If you have a printer and a pair of scissors, you can easily add these little napkin tags to your table! Click here to download your own!
7) Add A Little Wheat
Wheat is such a great item to decorate with for Thanskgiving! It’s simple and beautiful and really makes a table feel festive. Just tie a tiny bunch together for a simple elegant look!
