Are you ready for another super easy recipe post about how to get a gourmet look in minimal time and effort? Yeah, me too. No matter how hard I try, when it comes to brining a dessert for a party I am always scrambling. Between work, school, activities and just managing three kids, I never seem to have it all together. So what if I told you, you could make these Easy Chocolate Dipped Cookies in about 30 minutes? Woohoo!
These easy cookies can be tweaked for any holiday or event, just by changing the type of chocolate and sprinkle colors. I made these with dark chocolate and light pink sugar pearls and silver sprinkles for Valentine’s Day, but throw in some white chocolate and green sprinkles and you are all set for St. Patricks day too :)
I started with a store bought roll of sugar cookies. All I had to do was slice the dough and place it in the oven for 8 minute!
Next, melt your dark chocolate chips. Place them in a microwave safe bowl and place on high for 30 seconds. Stir, then microwave again for another 30 seconds and stir until all the chips are melted.
Once the cookies have cooled, dip them into the chocolate and place on the cooling racks or on a cookies sheet lined with parchment paper.
While the chocolate is still wet, sprinkle on the light pink sugar pearls and silver sprinkles . To help them cool faster, you can place them in the refrigerator for a few minutes.
Once the chocolate has hardened, you can serve them on a cute tray, or package them up in little brown bags to hand out to friends!
- 1 Roll of Pre-made Sugar Cookie Dough
- 1 Bag of Dark Chocolate Chips
- Light Pink Sugar Pearls
- Silver Sprinkles
- Make the sugar cookies according to the package.
- While the cookies are cooling, melt the chocolate in the microwave for 30 seconds.
- Stir, and repeat.
- Dip the cookie halfway into the chocolate and sprinkles with sprinkles.
- Let them cool or place in refrigerator to speed up the process.

Hi Taryn, don’t know if you remember me, been long time. Like since while after you had 2nd.baby and from what I read you snuck another little one in there. Wow has time flown. How wonderful for you, also so happy for you. Is 3rd.boy or girl and how old now. How old are all the kids now?
Printing out your cookie recipe, love that prepared dough can be used. With arthritis in hands, wrists and arms mixing up dough isn’t easy job for me. Need one of those nice mixers huh?
Hope all is very well with you and yours. Am going to take home tour, is this same house or have you all moved?
