A few weeks ago we took a trip down to the Oregon Coast for a a few days and I wanted to share some of the amazing views with all of you! I’ve been to a few places on the coast when I was a kid, but this was my first time visiting Seaside Oregon! It was such a fun town, absolutely perfect for families and there is SO much to do. If you scroll through I’ll chat a little more about our time there, favorite places and what we did!
Visiting Seaside Oregon
We stayed at the Worldmark Seaside, it was right on the beach and was the perfect place to stay! You could step right outside onto the beach, or the main walkway and you can walk to dinner in minutes. We were super impressed with the accommodations, the rooms were nice and spacious and the staff was really great!
Directly from this spot you can walk right into the town and shop at all the cute stores, play at the arcade, stop for the best Gelato (the had 7 diary free options and my kids were in heaven, we went every day!). and even hop on the bumper cars and play mini golf.
Our kids have never been to a ‘real sandy beach’ before. They were in heaven. They practically spent the entire time in the water, jumping over tiny waves, building sand castles and enjoying all the beauty. The first few days we were there the weather wasn’t great (which can be typical for the Oregon Coast), it was cold and windy but that didn’t stop them from enjoying every second of vacation. I love how much they love life.
After our walk to dinner, every night we would stop by the beach on our way back to the hotel for some play time on the swings and a run on the beach. Ok the kids would run on the beach to get some energy out and I would take pictures :) You can have big bon fires on the beach, but the wind was just a little too much while were there.
My kiddos are early risers and we are typically trying everything possible to keep them entertained in hotel rooms until it’s appropriate to be loud or places actually open. But here, here you can walk right outside your hotel and be greeted with the best playground ever and it’s open 24 hours a day! We would eat breakfast as quickly as possible and would typically be out on the beach by 7:30am to explore the low tide and find treasures. These were some of my favorite moments of our trip.
The tide pools were filled with sand dollars and crabs and all sorts of sea treasures.
And just like that, the sun would break through the clouds and we had a gorgeous last two days of our trip!
I mean, even the hotel stairwell has gorgeous views!
Nothing Like The Oregon Coast
Pretty sure sitting for this picture was one of the only times I sat still the entire vacation, but it really was relaxing in it’s own way. Being able to unplug, explore with the kids and build sand castles for hours was so great.
The Rocks of Cannon Beach
One of the days we ventured down to Cannon Beach. It’s just 15 minutes from Seaside and it’s gorgeous. Seaside is a fun, lively, big family town that’s filled with lots of tourist activities. Cannon Beach is a charming and quaint little town with the sweetest coastal homes that I would love to own one day! Cannon Beach would be a much quieter and low key place to stay. We didn’t spend a ton of time shopping around, but the little stores looked adorable.
The historic big rock on Cannon Beach is definitely a sight and makes for incredible pictures.
We loved our time on the Oregon Coast and I can’t wait to plan our next trip so we can explore more !
