Turn Your Pictures Into Polaroid Displays

Thanks For Sharing!

Have you ever wanted to get the look of a polaroid picture but didn’t know how? I really wanted the look of the cool vintage pics for our latest project in the nursery, so I set out on a mission to create my own, using pics from my phone. Today, I’m showing you How To Turn Your Pictures Into Polaroid Displays using any type of photos from your phone or computer.

I made mine using a great online photo program called Pic Monkey. I use this site a ton! (and ps. this is totally not sponsored, I am simply letting you in on my own tips here)

So first, you want to head to the site and choose the option to ‘edit photo’. Then upload the photo you want to convert to a Polaroid.

Then, on the left hand side you want to click the ‘frame’ icon. This will give you a list of different frames you can add to the picture. Here is where you choose the ‘Polaroid’ option.

Now, there are several different options within the Polaroid mode, but I’m going to show you how to get the old vintage look I gave my photos.

  1. Choose the third Polaroid frame option
  2. Set your Effect level to 50%.
  3. Rotate the image so it is straight up and down.
  4. Click save!

Now that your image is saved, it’s time to get them printed! At this point, you can use any online photo printing service, whatever your preference is. Once you upload them to the online photo printing service, YOU WANT TO PRINT THEM IN A 4X5. This is super important, any other size and the Polaroid border will be cut off (I learned the hard way). The 4X5 will print them exactly the way they look on my project, I didn’t have to trim them or anything!

Now you can display them as you wish! Here is how mine turned out for my project.

Did you special request the 4 by 5 size from Target? I don’t see that as an option on their website. I was hoping to order from Costco but they don’t have that size option either. Help!

When you are in their picture printing platform, when you get to the screen where you can select the size there is a drop down that says ” Do You need a different size for this photo?” click that drop down and you can select a 4X5.

Are they as small as genuine Polaroids?

I can’t seem to find the effect option to convert my photo to the square within the polaroid. Do you have photos?
