I’m starting something new and exciting around here! Every Tuesday I will be featuring a Top Ten List featuring some of my favorite things. What type of things you may ask? Well, anything that has to do with Design, Dining and Diapers. So that covers a lot of ground :)
Since we are still in baby mode around here, I’m kicking off this series with my Top Ten Favorite Baby Gifts. We were completely overwhelmed with the generosity from our friends and family in helping us prepare for the Baby E’s arrival and we really can’t thank everyone enough for all of the gifts (we honestly use everything). BUT there were some stand out items that I wanted to share with you so you can join in on the fun (if you aren’t already!).
Here we go! In no particular order…
This little blanky is so soft and cuddly, you will want one yourself. It’s so chic yet functional and is the perfect size for the car seat, stroller or a sleep over (one day). Baby E LOVES hers!
2. Vulli Sophie the Giraffe Teether
I have a soft spot for anything French, so I couldn’t leave little Sophie off my list. Isn’t she adorable? My little one hasn’t figured out how to use her as a teething toy just yet, but she sure likes to hold onto her (and she squeaks too)!
3. Aden & Anais Swaddling Wraps
These little blankets are perfect for any occasion. Baby E has never been a fan of being swaddled, but these are perfect blankets for the warm summer months. They are light weight, super cute and so easy to throw in a diaper bag.
4.Bath Buddy by Just Born (aka Mr. Frog in our household)
Mr. Frog has turned out to be quite the unexpected hit. Who knew a towel shaped like a frog could make such a difference? This towel is shaped perfectly to keep your little one warm during bath time (and if you have a little boy it serves as a good shield from any unwanted sprays :P).
5. Swaddle Design Baby Burpies
I loved these burp cloths so much that I went out and bought more myself. They are thick enough to soak up any type of accident, soft enough to protect your baby’s skin and cute enough to take with you every where! They are also very durable, I’ve machine washed mine a million times and they haven’t faded yet (unlike other brands).
6. Personalized Chamois Stroller Blanket from PB Kids
This was one of the very first personalized gifts we received after Baby E’s arrival and it was love at first sight. It meant so much to me knowing that someone took the time to put together a customized gift, not to mention it’s a really high quality blanket.
7. Personalized Wall Art
While we are on the subject of personalized gifts, check this out. A friend of the family made a custom wall art for Baby E’s nursery (similar to the one above). It is modern, chic and something we will keep forever. Oh, and I should mention that she has a shop on Etsy, so go check her out :)
Babies always need to feel a sense of security, so why not fulfill the need in style? Baby E loves her Angel Dear security blanketin fact, it never leaves the car seat to ensure it is with us for every car ride. We have the Dark Brown Bear blankie, although I’m convinced it looks more like a flying squirrel :)
9. Phil and Teds MeToo Portable High Chair
This high chair is awesome. It packs down to about 1″ thick so you can easily throw it in your diaper bag or keep it in your car. It’s perfect to bring to a restaurant or to grandma and grandpa’s.
10. Bunnies by the Bay Glad Dreams Coat Storywear
Last, but certainly not least! This is my absolute favorite baby gift we received. Long before babies were in the picture, I stumbled upon this ever so sweet coat for a baby girl. My mom remembered how much I loved it and she surprised me with it at my baby shower. The thing that sold me on this precious little outfit is that it has a poem embroidered in the inside of the coat that explains how the coat will be passed on from generation to generation. It reads, “Once within this dreamy coat, danced a dainty lass. Remembering all the glad dreams, to her daughter, the coat will pass.”
So, if you are invited to a baby shower and aren’t sure what to get the momma to be, take my personal advice and get her something from this list, I promise she won’t be disappointed :)
Be sure to check back next week for another round of Top 10 Tuesday!
